Are you sure you're looking at the right one? This is the higher res one that I want to overwrite the current one with, I have this one with the watermark removed and straightened. It is much higher resolution than the current one being used. Also, it has the exact same crop as the original file uploaded by User:Vensatry but much higher resolution so nothing is being left out. The lighting is the same, but the current version has the contrast adjusted (for the worse). If these are the only things you had reservations about, the current version should just be overwritten. These are not technically incorrect, they were the flag of France at the time (and it is still an official flag of France although less used than the pre-1974 version). I probably should move these files so that the various Wikipedia can choose if they want to keep using this version of the French flag or the more used version (I could free up the redirect by deleting it for you so you could just upload your version to that name). The one with the pink background was a reconstruction by Heraldicum.ru years ago when there wasn't a more reliable source than just a description of the colours in the law. They added pink just to indicate the rising sun although pink was not mentioned in the description. So there is no pink on the emblem. Also there are white letters instead of black and the sun and its rays has a bronze shade. Please, let's edit the image that is used in Wikipedia.

I don't think so. see here, it shows a half-inverted escutcheon (clearly not shown on this badge), a green script (instead of a yellow one shown on the badge), its wheat stalks are somewhat different, and same goes for parts of the shield. The original uploader did not obtain the full resolution photo from the source, but I did so. The resolution will be 2092 x 1221 in my proposed upload with essentially the same crop and a rotation of less than 1 degree. Here is my summary:

Downloaded higher resolution, rotated, cropped, sharpened, and then corrected black and white points.

The previous uploader had also corrected the white and black points; my slight rotation is a novel but minor improvement. I started with the .tiff lossless file, removed the black photo frame, and then converted it to a lossy .jpeg, as opposed to resaving multiple times as a lossy .jpeg and adding generational compression to the image, like the current version has.

@Abzeronow No color in the new logo (see top left of this webpage: https://www.jenoptik.com/). It is usually depicted as white on some colors, but sometimes also in black.
