Description
English: Example of VP9 tile structure for a 720p video frame. In VP9, frames can be split along superblock boundaries into a set of 2x evenly spaced tiles (blue) with tile columns coded independently (indicated by the gaps) to allow parallel processing with multiple CPU cores, for example. Yellow arrows show how in this example up to 4 individual processing threads can work independently through the data of the individual tile columns of the frame. Black arrows show the coding order, i.e. how things are ordered in the bitstream.
Deutsch: Beispiel einer VP9-Kachelstruktur bei einem 720p-Videoeinzelbild. In VP9 können Einzelbilder entlang Superblockgrenzen in einen Satz von 2x gleichmäßig verteilten Kacheln (blau) aufgeteilt werden, wobei die Kachelspalten unabhängig kodiert werden (angedeutet durch die Lücken), um Parallelverarbeitung zu ermöglichen, beispielsweise mit mehreren Prozessorkernen. Gelbe Pfeile zeigen wie in diesem Beispiel bis zu 4 einzelne Ausführungsstränge die Daten der einzelnen Kachelspalten des Einzelbildes nebenläufig bearbeiten können. Schwarze Pfeile zeigen die Kodierungsreihenfolge, also die Reihenfolge der Elemente im Bitstrom.
