English: This is a crop of "File:Geologic Map of the Near Side of the Moon.jpg." The right half of the original image (that was cropped out) is all fine print text or color-code tables (originally the second page in a 2-page spread of the Geologic Atlas of the Moon. The map (and presumably the rest of the atlas) was produced in 1971 for NASA by the United States Geological Survey (Department of the Interior) with help from the U.S. Air Force Aeronautical Chart and Information Center, which is now part of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (U.S. Department of Defense)
