With its base build, this 3D printer is designed to allow full control and customization of soft-material deposition through extrusion-based syringes. We anticipate the main audience to be academic research and educational groups with access to common manufacturing tools and reagents for downstream applications not limited to biology & tissue engineering, rheology, soft robotics, and electronics.

However, this ecosystem is also accessible to individual hobbyists and can serve as a tool for your personal projects that require soft-material direct ink writing capabilities. It will potentially require more resources than simply converting an off-the-shelf 3D printer but will provide significantly more customizability and capabilities.
