English: A picture of a herbal patch, owned by an individual. The patch is designed in a rectangular pattern (not intermittent). Rectangular intermittent, circular patches as well as elevated patches are also frequently made (not shown here). The width of the patches is about 1 m (this allows easy maintenance). The pathways in between are set to our lawnmower (80 m); however gravel or pure stone would have been better (somewhat more expensive though). Intermittent rectangular patterns also are preferred for even easier maintenance as weeding. |
