Summary
| Description |
English: In figure A, the diameter of a non-rotating disk is 10 units, while the circumference is pi times the diameter (approximately 31.416 units). Figure B illustrates a rotating disk. The diameter remains 10 units, but a non-rotating observer judges that the rulers lying along the circumference of the disk have shortened. More rulers are required to span the circumference. |
