Basé à Lausanne, il intervient en cas d'événement exceptionnel, également sur une partie du canton de Vaud. D'autres véhicules de ce types sont en service à Payerne (Vaud/Fribourg), La Chaux-de-Fonds (Neuchâtel), Aigle (Vaud/Valais), Viège (Valais) et Genève.
