Description
Deutsch: Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, bezeichnet GOETHE.,Kupferstichvignette von Heinrich Pfenninger (1749-1815) vorgesehen für Leonhard Meister: Charakteristik deutscher Dichter, in Eigenverlag Pfenningers, Zürich, 1787. Die Vignette wurde erst 1789 in der französischen Ausgabe Meisters veröffentlicht. Die als Vorlage verwendete gegensinnige Bleistiftzeichnung aus dem Dezember 1779 wird in der ZB Zürich aufbewahrt.
