Summary

La composizione e' rigorosa:un muro ,colpito dalla luce del sole ,crea un rettangolo prospettico che porta lo sguardo verso i due soldati a cavallo che si stagliano sul cielo azzurro.Il disegno e' dettagliato ma,nello spazio assolato,,emergono le macchie scure delle uniformi,del cavallo e delle ombre che si profilano sul terreno e sul muro.Il luogo e' silenzioso,la luce e' quella di una tarda e afosa mattina d' estate.Giovanni Fattori,In vedetta(il muro bianco),1872 ca.Olio su tela,37x56 cm.Collezione privata.
