Deutsch: Hier sieht man den Steinbruch am Gernkopf in der Nähe von Obertalhausen. Der Ursprung dieses Geotopes ist ein Vulkanschlot. Man sieht Pyroklastische Breccien und Basaltgestein. Es wird der Osthessischen Buntsandsteinscholle zugeordnet. Der Vulkanschlot, vermutlich ein Nebenschlot der Haukuppe, war vor ca. 6 Millionen Jahren im Tertiär aktiv. |
