Description
Deutsch: Südansicht des Rudolfsturms am Salzberg in der oberösterreichischen Marktgemeinde Hallstatt und rechts unten ein Teil der 2013 errichteten Aussichtsplattform „Welterbeblick“.
Ursprünglich ein mittelalterlicher Wehrturm am Eingang des Hallstätter Salzberg-Hochtals. Von dieser Zeit bis 1954 wurde der Turm als Wohnung des jeweiligen Bergbaubetriebsleiters permanent genutzt.
English: Southern view of the Rudolfsturm on the Salzberg in the Upper Austrian market town of Hallstatt and, on the lower right, part of the "World heritage viewing platform" built in 2013. Originally a medieval defense tower at the entrance to the Hallstatt Salzberg high valley. From this time until 1954, the tower was permanently used as the home of the respective mining manager.
