SOLARA PRO is a free, browser-based solar compass and navigation tool hosted at https://plettskollie.neocities.org The app uses the NOAA solar algorithm to calculate real-time solar azimuth and elevation worldwide. The Scout Needle compass displays the sun's current direction — in this screenshot showing 112.2° ESE at 17:59:58 — allowing users to determine cardinal directions using their shadow. The suite includes four tools accessible via tab bar: SOLARA (solar compass), ZONK (shadow stick navigator), SPOT (GPS proximity tracker), and MAP (GPX viewer and coordinate marker). The Day/Night Cycle bar at the bottom provides a visual timeline of sunrise, noon, sunset, and midnight. The app runs entirely in the browser with no data transmitted to external servers. |
