Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
and Constanze Weber were married
on 4 August 1782 in their
parish church St. Stephan.
Their fourth child Johannes and
their sixth child Franz received
their baptisms in St. Stephan's cathedral.
After Mozart's death
on 5 December 1791 -- shortly before that
he had been appointed
adjunct Kapellmeister
for St. Stephan's --
on 6 December the
funeral mass was celebrated and his body
was blessed in the Chapel of the Cross.
In observance of his 250th birthday.
