Template parameters

Parameter	Description		Default	Status
`bgc` BGC	background color	Background color of the header.	`#DDD`	optional
`name` NAME	name	Name of the flag (e.g. Union Jack). If there is no name other than ‘Flag of Foo’ then omit this parameter; use an ‘*’ to show the `file name`.	`of`	optional
`default` DEFAULT	default flag	Set ‘1’ if the flag is the default flag of the entity specified in OF. In most cases the filename will be ‘Flag of FOO’ if this is true. If it is not the default flag, omit the parameter. It adds an asterisk ‘*’ to the name.	empty	optional
`othernames` OTHERNAMES	other names	Other names of the flag additionally to ‘Flag of FOO’ and the name specified in NAME, separated by ‘;’. Omit the parameter when there is no such name.	empty	optional
`country` COUNTRY	country	Country to which the flag belongs to. If it is not a country flag, omit this parameter. Use the name of the Commons gallery of that country.	empty	optional
`of` OF	used by	Object which uses the flag. Use the name of the Commons gallery of that entity. If there is no gallery use the name from English Wikipedia.	0	required
`from` FROM	official from	Date when the flag was officially introduced (set ‘never’ when the flag is unofficial or a proposal). Format of the date should be YYYY-MM-DD, YYYY-MM, YYYY, YYY0s or CCth century.	0	optional
`until` UNTIL	official until	Date when the flag was officially disestablished (only to be entered if not current). Same format of the date as with FROM.	empty	optional
