Wikipedia 3D printable globe
Hi @Slashme! I stumbled upon your 3D printable globe file on Github. It looks like WikipediaGlobeOnePieceBlackLettersShiny.blend could possibly be printed in two colors (one for the letters one for the globe) - like on a Bambu X1 Carbon. Unfortunately my experience of Blender is very limited, so I was wondering if you could help prepare the file? Also, thank you a lot for those! I had no idea this file was out there and am looking forward to print the puzzle version. — Preceding unsigned comment added by E mln e (talk • contribs) 19:46, 7 April 2026 (UTC) E mln e (talk) 19:47, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
- I'd be happy to help! What does the printer need the file to contain to make that possible? --Slashme (talk) 19:55, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
- In the process of looking it up more (https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/1r21np7/i_built_a_blender_3mf_addon_that_turns_painted_or/) I also found out I can do it directly in the printer's slicer! I've tried that, will do a test print and get back to you if that doesn't work. E mln e (talk) 22:58, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
- Great! Please upload pics if it works! --Slashme (talk) 04:47, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- Will do! Would you mind if I uploaded the stl files (with attribution) on 3d printing files sharing platforms? It would help with discovery.
- (picking up the print in a couple hours!) E mln e (talk) 20:31, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- As long as you abide by the license terms (CC-BY-SA), it's fine. Attribution like in the GitHub repository with a link to File:WikipediaGlobeOnePiece.stl at least :-) I think the STL file with the individual puzzle pieces wasn't ever uploaded to Commons for some policy reason that I've forgotten.
- Looking forward to see the result! Will you be at Wikimania in Paris? --Slashme (talk) 07:16, 10 April 2026 (UTC)

A photograph of a 3d printed wiki globe inside the printer - It was a bit of a nightmare to print but so happy with the result! I'm going to make a few different version for the colors and upload at least to Makerworld with link and attribution.
- Yes, I will be at Wikimania this year. E mln e (talk) 20:55, 13 April 2026 (UTC)

The tool is not working
Hi, I have been trying to access the Parliament Planner tool since yesterday and it is still not working. Is there maintenance for the tool? Thank you very much. Ahmadf.alabbasi (talk) 04:06, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
3rd Pennsylvania Cavalry; David Snavely
Hello, I was searching for information on the 3rd Pennsylvania Cavalry and observed the photo of David Snavely from this unit. As he was from Company H of that unit, the part of the unit raised in my home town, I was seeking as much information on Snavely as possible. Mostly I was checking to see if you have any more specifics on the photograph, as to who was the photographer and when it may have been taken. Any other info on the picture would be great. Thank You very much. 67.63.74.78 15:35, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
