Tato stránka v kostce: Správci Wikimedia Commons jsou uživatelé s dalšími technickými schopnostmi pro správu webu. Mohou mazat a obnovovat soubory a stránky, zamykat stránky, blokovat uživatele, přejmenovávat soubory a provádět další administrativní úkony. V současné době je na Commons 170 správců. Aby se uživatelé stali správci, mohou podat žádost a projít hlasovacím procesem.

Technicky vzato

Správci jsou uživatelé Wikimedia Commons, kteří mají systémová práva:

  • mazat a obnovovat obrázky a ostatní nahrané soubory, prohlížet a obnovovat jejich smazané verze
  • mazat a obnovovat stránky, prohlížet a obnovovat jejich smazané změny
  • zapínat a vypínat ochranu stránek a zároveň editovat ty, které jsou zamčené
  • blokovat a odblokovávat uživatele, jednotlivé IP adresy i jejich podskupiny
  • editovat zprávy rozhraní o nižší důležitosti (viz též Commons:Správci rozhraní)
  • přejmenovávat soubory
  • přidávat a odstraňovat uživatelské skupiny
  • konfigurovat kampaně Průvodce načítáním souborů
  • mazat a obnovovat konkrétní záznamy v zápisu změn stránek
  • importovat stránky z jiných wiki
  • slučovat historii stránek
  • upravovat filtry zneužití
  • nevytvářet přesměrování ze zdrojových stránek, pokud přesouvají stránky
  • ignorovat kontrolu identity a blacklist uživatelských jmen
  • posílat zprávy více uživatelům naráz (hromadná zpráva)
  • využívat vyšší limity dotazů API

Výše zmíněná práva se souhrnně nazývají nástroje správce.

Komunitní role

Správci jsou zkušení a důvěryhodní členové komunity Commons, kteří se navíc podíleli na údržbě a veřejným souhlasem/hlasem jim byly svěřeny nástroje správy. Různí správci mají různé oblasti zájmu a odbornosti, ale mezi typické úkoly správce patří rozhodování a uzavírání žádostí o odstranění, odstraňování porušení autorských práv, obnovování smazaných souborů, pokud je to nutné, ochrana Commons před vandalismem a práce na šablonách a dalších chráněných stránkách. Některé z těchto úkolů mohou samozřejmě vykonávat i osoby, které nejsou správci.

Od správců se očekává porozumění cílům tohoto projektu a měli by být připraveni na nich konstruktivně spolupracovat s ostatními. Správci by také měli rozumět a dodržovat zásady a, je-li to vhodné, respektovat komunitní konsensus.

Kromě funkcí, které vyžadují použití administrátorských nástrojů, správci nemají žádnou zvláštní redakční pravomoc na základě své pozice a v diskusi a veřejných hlasů je s jejich příspěvky zacházeno jako s příspěvky jakýchkoli obyčejných redaktorů. Někteří správci mohou mít větší vliv, ne kvůli své pozici jako takové, ale z osobní důvěry, kterou si mohou získat od komunity.

Odstranění práv správce

Podle politiky odebrání práv správce, mohou být práva odebrána kvůli neaktivitě nebo zneužití administrátorských nástrojů. Na žádosti o odebrání práv správce se nevztahují normální standardy pro rozhodnutí konsensu platící pro žádosti o jejich přidělení. Místo toho se využívá "majoritní konsensus", kde stačí jakýkoliv konsensus vyšší než 50 % pro odebrání práv.

Any registered user may vote here although those who have few or no previous edits may not be fully counted. It is preferable you give reasons for both Support and Oppose votes as this will help the closing bureaucrat in their decision. Greater weight is given to an argument, with supporting evidence if needed, than to a simple vote.

Promotion normally requires at least 75% in favour, with a minimum of 8 support votes. Votes from unregistered users are not counted. However, the closing bureaucrat has discretion in judging community consensus, and the decision will not necessarily be based on the raw numbers. Bureaucrats may, at their discretion, extend the period of an RfA if they feel that it will be helpful in better determining community consensus.

 Neutral comments are not counted in the vote totals for the purposes of calculating pass/fail percentages. However, such comments are part of the discussion, may persuade others, and contribute to the closing bureaucrat's understanding of community consensus.

Hello! I have been a Commons contributor since 2020 (with breaks), and have since been engaged in various activities on here, such as identifying copyright violations & insufficient file information, patrolling new uploads, create & contribute to deletion requests , categorizing images , help with batch uploads , import files from enwiki , convert raster images to vector images, doing licence reviews & generally working on many of the backlogs.

    For the "educational" part, we have a good description at COM:EDUSE: The material in question can "provide knowledge". It's very broad. The "realistic use" part is the trickier one, and it very often depends case-by case. I interpret it as the material in question not just theoretically being able to provide knowledge, but there also being actual, practical scenarios, where it would make sense to use the material in question to provide knowledge. A good indicator is I think: "Is there a page on any Wikimedia project where the file in question could be used?" (only an indicator, of course not limited to that)
    As example; compare a generic low quality image of a common animal (with no interesting qualities), where we also have a lot of high-quality images of vs. a low quality image of a very rare animal, where we have (almost) no other images of. In the first case, while the low quality image would theoretically provide knowledge about the animal, as in illustrating it, using it as such would not be realistic - as there is no reason to choose a low quality image over a high quality one. In the second case of course, if an illustration of the animal is wanted, the image basically has to be used because there is no alternative - the low quality image is realistically useful then. ~TheImaCow (talk) 21:00, 9 June 2026 (UTC)

    If I come across them, I will deal with them accordingly; warn them, and if they continue or if it is particularly vile type of vandalism, block them.
