The ThePlayer extension embeds video and MP3 files into MediaWiki pages:

Syntax:

<mediaplayer width="" height="" type="stream|wiki|file">URL</mediaplayer>
<mp3player width="" height="" type="stream|wiki|file">URL</mp3layer>

Installation

  • Download and place the file(s) in a directory called ThePlayer in your extensions/ folder.
  • Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file: 
    wfLoadExtension( 'ThePlayer' );
  • Yes Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
