위키배움터는 《위키미디어 재단》의 프로젝트 중 하나로, 자유로운 학습자료를 만드는 데에 주목되었습니다. 위키배움터는 (위키책에서 시범적으로 《운영된》 후) 2006년 8월에 공식적으로 출시되었습니다.

Mission

Wikiversity is a center for the creation and use of free learning materials and activities. Its primary priorities and goals are to:

Create and host a range of free-content, multilingual learning materials/resources, for all age groups and learner levels.
Host learning and research projects and communities around existing and new materials.
