My plan
I am Bembety, an active Wikimedia contributor from Nigeria with experience contributing to Wikipedia, Wikidata, and other Wikimedia projects. I focus on creating, improving, and translating articles related to Nigeria, Africa, culture, education, and underrepresented communities.
I have participated in several Wikimedia campaigns, edit-a-thons, and community projects where I contributed articles, translations, structured data, and media documentation. Despite editing mainly with a mobile phone, I remain committed to promoting free and accessible knowledge.
Receiving a laptop will greatly improve my Wikimedia contributions by helping me use advanced editing tools, contribute more effectively to Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons, improve translation work, and participate more actively in community activities and research-based projects. As a university student and passionate Wikimedian, this support will help me contribute more consistently and increase my impact within the Wikimedia movement.
