My plan

I am an active Wikimedia contributor from the Philippines, contributing Chavacano translations mainly to Chavacano de Zamboanga Wiki projects such as the Chavacano de Zamboanga Wiktionary in incubator and the Chavacano de Zamboanga Wikipedia edition, assisting with the tech leads for translation in WikiClub Zamboanga, and translating the Wiki UI and messages in Chavacano de Zamboanga through translatewiki.net. I work on spreading the awareness of our Chavacano orthography and the language itself. If there's an event at WikiClub Zamboanga. I'm currently borrowing an old Chromebook but will be returned at some point since my phone broke, so the club head let me borrow this as my phone is being mended. This Chromebook is enough for doing Wiki stuff, however it slows down when I open a lot of tabs. I also have digitized copies of Chavacano dictionaries in PDF of my dialect but it loads the PDF super slow. This can hinder my process of inputting words in the Chavacano Wiktionary in incubator and also for the Wiki projects in general.

If I receive a laptop from Wikimedia Foundation, this would allow me to contribute efficiently in Chavacano Wiki projects, and would plan to work with the tech lead and learn the technical stuff since I only write plain texts in English and Chavacano Wiktionaries and UI translation as I also want to publish articles in my language. I would try to add all things Zamboanga that is not published in English and Chavacano Wikipedia.

The laptop will also allow me to learn advanced Wikimedia tools, translation, and contribute more consistently as an upcoming college student commited to free knowledge and making Chavacano accessible to everyone.
