Name

Python anchietae Bocage, 1887

Type locality: Catumbela, near Lobito, Angola

Holotype: Syntypes: Museu Bocage, Lisbon T.89-1206 and T.89-1207

Etymology: anchietae: named after Portuguese explorer and naturalist José Alberto de Oliveira Anchieta.
