First Seven President in the First Council of Seventy (from 1888–1933) of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As an Assistant Church Historian, he authored two multi-volume Church histories. An editor of the Church's Improvement Era magazine. Polygamist. American politician.
