General resources

These are some general resource works about film.

Technical to-do

  • Fix the Film infobox so that Cast isn't breaking again
  • Switch film indexes to time subpages with bot
  • Fix the WikiProject Film Drafts system (which some people might still use) to use the new system
  • Done on Blackmail (film) already
  • Fix the Film song infrastructure
  • Style factorization: {{ft/d}}, {{ft/i}}, and {{ft/s}} all use a template styles instance within each template. Make it so that {{film transclusion}} has the styles that those templates inherit. This could fix the below problem, maybe.
  • Fix The Cocoanuts' /Hour 0, /Hour 1 problem. Ideally, the script should all be on a single page.
  • Idea: If the above style factorization doesn't work to accomplish that, use a bot to decrease the amount of {{ft/d}} by two—combine {{ft/d}} timestamp entries into each other by twos to fix the problem.
  • Try to deprecate the film transcription draft system in favor of using Alien333's MTV.
  • Allow the "Forward a page" and "Back a page" (< >) arrows to show up in the Page namespace for "pages" of films.

To-do

Please spend some time proofreading Index:Motion Pictures 1912 to 1939 (IA Motionpict19121939librrich0010).djvu. This is an official US copyright catalog for films between 1912 and 1939 and will be an astronomically useful resource for the WikiProject in the future, for research etc.
