WikiProject JFK Assassination Files aims to add the collection of documents and files released by the United States government in relation to the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

Getting involved/To-do

Thousands of released documents related to the assassination have been released by the National Archives, and only a small amount have been added to Wikisource. To get involved, all you need to go is:

  1. Upload one of the files from the National Archives to the Wikimedia Commons.
  2. Index the newly uploaded file on Wikisource.
  3. Transcribe the file on Wikisource.
  4. List the file in the chart below.
  5. List the file at Portal:Assassination of John F. Kennedy.
  6. Tell others about the project!

2025 release

  • Executive Order 14176 of January 23, 2025 by POTUS Author:Donald Trump. Declassification of Records Concerning the Assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • On March 18, 2025 the National Archives released 2,182 PDF files totaling 63,400 pages from the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection.
