Malkajgiri (మల్కాజ్ గిరి Malkāj Giri) comprises the eastern suburbs of Hyderabad. It is home to Ramoji Film City and Saroornagar Lake.

- 1 Ramoji Film CityCategory:Has map markers (off NH9 connecting Hyderabad with Vijayawada, just after Hayathnagar. If you are driving down from Hyderabad, the road is full of potholes, but drivable. There is adequate signage that will tell you how far Ramoji Film City is, and in any case, it is difficult to miss the giant arch on the right announcing the entrance. Spread over 2,000 acres, it is a film-themed park combined with a studio, unabashedly modelled after Universal City in California, United States. Opened in 1996, it is the world's largest film studio. It was conceived and developed by Ramoji Rao, a media and film baron, whose film production house Usha Kiron Movies is a major producer of Indian films. The city encompasses massive buildings, gardens and other sets suitable for filming movies. Fans of Indian movies will find many locations where scenes from their favourite films were shot. Inside the city are complete facilities for the film's pre-production, production and post-production work. In addition, there are theme parks, rides and other attractions, and opportunities for shopping and dining. There are three hotels inside the city catering to various budgets. Visitors can easily spend a weekend or more with their families and not tire of the place.

- 4 Victoria Memorial HomeCategory:Has map markers. A historic school and orphanage located in Saroornagar. It is housed in Saroornagar Palace, a palace of the Nizam of Hyderabad.

- 5 Ashtalakshmi TempleCategory:Has map markers. A popular Hindu temple of the Goddess Ashtalakshmi.
- 6 Hayat Bakshi MosqueCategory:Has map markers, Hayatnagar. It was constructed in 1672 during the reign of Abdullah Qutb Shah the fifth Sultan of Golconda, and named after Hayat Bakshi Begum.
- 7 Moula Ali DargahCategory:Has map markers. The 400 stairs bring you to a place of worship built by the Asif Jahis. The Moula Ali Dargah was built in the memory of Hazrat Ali, the son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad. Legend has it that Yakoob, a eunuch in the court of Ibrahim Quli, went to the hill after he saw Hazrat Ali seated on it. To his surprise, he saw the impression Ali's palm on a stone, which he had dreamt. He had the impression cut out and installed in a shrine. Ibrahim Shah later built a mosque beside the dargah. A Ashurkhana , a Baradari (pavilion) and a Naqqar khana (place for beating drums) were built during the Qutb Shahi period

Lakes
- 1 Kapra LakeCategory:Has map markers. Located close to A.S. Rao Nagar is famous for its idol immersion events during the Ganesh Puja festival.
- 2 Saroornagar LakeCategory:Has map markers. This lake is a pleasant space for young couples to spend their evening. It has large pedestrian spaces, and abundant lighting at night. One side of the lake is lined with a solid wall, with a two-lane undivided road on the wall which is neat and exciting to drive. A problem is 'eutrophication' which is caused due to water hyacinth. The lake smells sometimes, but that is the nature of any urban waterbody. An important event that takes place here is Vinayaka Chaturthi (a Hindu festival in which Lord Vinayaka's statues are immersed in water). All roads lead here on the day of the Lord Ganesh's nimajjanam.
- 3 Shamirpet LakeCategory:Has map markers (Pelle Cheruvu). A Nizam-era lake, populated among birdwatchers. The lake is highly patrolled by police due to several cases of drowning.
Parks
- 4 Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National ParkCategory:Has map markers, Autonagar (adjacent to the Vijayawada National Highway 65). The largest green space in Hyderabad. This dense forest area was established by the last ruler of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan, for hunting. It was declared a national forest in 1975 on the 2500th anniversary of the nirvana of the Jain sage Mahavira. It is home to black buck, cheetal deer, peacocks, wild boars, rabbits, various types of snakes, and many species of birds. Furthermore, it has a special park for parrots. It also has many medicinal plants. The special trees in it resemble dense thickets. There are hostels for tourists' entertainment as well as accommodation.
