Etymology
Literally, “lightning bolt in a clear sky”. See κεραυνός m (keravnós) and the ancient terms in the phrase ἐν (en, “in”) & the dative αἰθρίᾳ (aithríāi) of feminine αἰθρία (aithría)[1] (by ellipsis of a feminine noun) of adjective αἴθριος (aíthrios).
