Linux kernel's storage stack
Hello! Thank you very much for uploading an updated version of File:IO stack of the Linux kernel.svg. Though, I was unable to find a permissive license for the uploaded SVG file on https://www.thomas-krenn.com/en/wiki/Linux_Storage_Stack_Diagram, which is required for using the file on Wikimedia Commons. Any chances, please, for pointing to an appropriate license? — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 08:35, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for your valuable hint! I've added the license (CC-BY-SA 3.0) notice now: https://www.thomas-krenn.com/en/wiki/Linux_Storage_Stack_Diagram#License. Btw: the license itself is also mentioned in the SVG at the bottom. Wfischer (talk) 09:15, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
- Great, everything is covered now, thank you. Having a web page with the licensing information is preferred, as anyone can modify a non-free image/drawing to contain a note on its false free licensing. Of course, something like that doesn't apply here, but that's a general rule. :) — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 09:31, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
