The word round can have several meanings, such as “round like a circle” (→circular or ring-shaped), “round like a roll or drum” (→cylindrical) or “round like a ball” (→spherical). It can also serve as a distinction from the usual shape of the object in question, e.g. “round, not rectangular” or “round, not flat” or “round, without edges”.
