Thanks for uploading File:CASTLE PARK HIGH.png. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{self|cc-zero}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. "views from shore"

Special:Diff/1195550830: how is a view from an airplane a "view from shore"? Do you have other examples of that being used that way? - Jmabel ! talk 17:03, 11 April 2026 (UTC)

Would you suggest Category:Aerial photographs of the USS Midway Museum, as a substitute alternative? Additionally there is also Category:USS Midway Museum. Issac I Navarro (talk) 17:05, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
Yes, Category:Aerial photographs of the USS Midway Museum; I hadn't noticed that existed, I'll change it myself. And, yes, if that didn't exist and you didn't want to create it, then Category:USS Midway Museum would probably be the best remaining choice. - Jmabel ! talk 18:28, 11 April 2026 (UTC)

Hi. Why do you keep removing this category?   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 22:45, 19 April 2026 (UTC)

Apologies for the late reply. I didn't quit see your message till now, I removed that tag and replaced with this Category:Exey Panteleev-related deletion discussions/kept, as that Category was listed as a substitute Category. Issac I Navarro (talk) 19:18, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
Listed where?   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 20:58, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
Under Category:Nudity and sexuality-related deletion requests, in subcategories : Category:Exey Panteleev-related deletion discussions Issac I Navarro (talk) 21:30, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
Thanks. When adding a cat to a DR subpage like here, please noinclude it to ensure that the daily page like Commons:Deletion requests/2026/06/14 does not get categorized when the subpage is transcluded, so that someone or User:DeletionRequestArchivist does not have to clean up after you like in Special:Diff/1231644563.   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 14:24, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
@Jeff G. Quick follow up, regarding WP:HC, and WP:DIFFUSE, and the edits I made for those pages. Would you consider those edits to be appropriate or not, what would you suggest?  Thank you. Issac I Navarro (talk) 04:07, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) those are links to nowhere, and I couldn't quickly work out from your contributions what pages you meant to link. - Jmabel ! talk 04:49, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
@Jmabel My apologies, I'm more used to en Wikipedia, the links are for en:WP:HC and en:WP:DIFFUSE.
And an example may be Commons:Deletion requests/File:Pokémon GO (28653034981).jpg. Issac I Navarro (talk) 05:52, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
Special:Diff/1207239251 probably solves the issue here. There may be other maintenance cats needing corresponding edits. - Jmabel ! talk 18:05, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
@Jmabel: @Jeff G.: Thus, would it now be appropriate to remove/replace Category:Nudity and sexuality-related deletion requests/kept with Category:Exey Panteleev-related deletion discussions/kept? In line with parent and child cats. Help:Gadget-Cat-a-lot Issac I Navarro (talk) 18:29, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
Exactly. No loss of information. - Jmabel ! talk 18:45, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
Thank you. Issac I Navarro (talk) 19:24, 2 May 2026 (UTC)

Toy DRs

I noticed you filed a large number of DRs with the COM:TOY rationale, but many of the files you nominated aren't copyright violations, for example this trolley and the underside of a duck foot. Please make yourself more familiar with the concept of utilitarianism before filing more such DRs. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 17:47, 26 April 2026 (UTC)

Support Jebulon (talk) 17:49, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for the notice. For the toy trolley, it's caption read: "Milan Design Week Magis exhibition of the Agma toy trolley in 2004" I thought it being newer may be classes as COM:TOYS, as for the duck foot, I see that it comes from the Auckland Museum.
Once again thank you for your response. Cheers. Issac I Navarro (talk) 19:22, 26 April 2026 (UTC)

Watermark vs signature

Hello. I noticed you have been tagging images that contain artist signatures with a {{Watermark}} template. I'm here to inform you that {{Signature}} should be used instead. See COM:Watermarks#What are not watermarks. Dabmasterars [EN/RU] (talk/uploads) 08:02, 3 May 2026 (UTC)

Thank you., appreciate the directions to that template Issac I Navarro (talk) 13:02, 3 May 2026 (UTC)

Perhaps we should create Category:Swimwear and underwear-related deletion requests/pending (and also "/kept" and "/deleted")? Special:Diff/1226411025. I am really doubting about "nudity" or "sexuality" in File:MF3.png. Evelino Ucelo (talk) 16:27, 7 June 2026 (UTC)

I added that Category as it seemed to be more in that realm of things then any other current Category. Issac I Navarro (talk) 16:31, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
But this Category not fit. Category:Copyright deletion requests/pending and Category:Scope-related deletion requests is generic and should be suitable; but if you want fine-grained category, I still recommend creating Category:Swimwear an underwear-related deletion requests/pending by analogy with Category:Nudity and sexuality-related deletion requests/pending. Evelino Ucelo (talk) 15:46, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
I don't believe that there is a whole lot of swimwear deletion requests out there. If you feel that such a Category may be useful, Commons:Village pump may be more helpful in advice. Issac I Navarro (talk) 16:22, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
In this case, just use generic categories about "copyright" (File:MF3.png is copyright case, for example) or "scope". Thanks! Evelino Ucelo (talk) 16:25, 8 June 2026 (UTC)

Autopatroller

Hi, I gave you the Autopatroller right. Thanks for your contributions, Yann (talk) 10:03, 16 June 2026 (UTC)

Thank you, I appreciate that. I am still trying to learn more about Commons and it's practices. I hope to edit more, and be both helpful and constructive. Issac I Navarro (talk) 10:07, 16 June 2026 (UTC)

Thoughts on a new CSD for COM:NPORN - F11

A number of your recent DR involvements seem to be of the 'COM:NOPRON' variety.

What are your views on the creation of a specfic Criteria for Speedy deletion?

Namely - F11 - Media in violation of COM:NOPORN and related policy on new uploads containing nudity.

Thoughts? ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 06:54, 19 June 2026 (UTC)

That sounds good. That would give the easy in ability for deletion of objective files that don't fit into scope.
Truth be told, I haven't been on Commons all that long, I have been mostly on en wiki. However, I been attempting to expand my use.
I noticed that @A1Cafel and @Alexis Jazz, are quite involved in those types of deletion requests perhaps they might have more insight. Issac I Navarro (talk) 07:03, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
ShakespeareFan00, seems like a bad idea. Commons is not censored. I didn't agree with the creation of COM:CSD#F10, but we have it, and it covers blurry dickpics.
I look at Issac's contributions. Very first DR: Commons:Deletion requests/File:69 position.jpg. This is a complete misunderstanding of policy. That is not a "low-resolution or poor-quality files that provide little descriptive information about a subject". It's a well-lit sufficient resolution photo that could serve very well to illustrate w:69 (sex position). There is no scope concern with that file. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 07:45, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
It's so good it's professional (and copyvio): https://pinklabel.tv/on-demand/film/sex-lessons-69s-positions-by-maria-and-axel/.
Really ridiculous to refer to a policy for blurry dickpics to get that deleted. That policy doesn't apply to subjects we don't have many images of and it doesn't apply to high quality media.
Issac, I see there's much more. I'll ask one time: will you stop? If not, COM:ANU will be our next stop. (if this comes across as harsh, sorry - anti-nudity crusaders come here from time to time and several contributors, including me, have lost their patience with them) - Alexis Jazz ping plz 08:10, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
Not, harsh at all, I totally understand your frustration and lost of patience. I am on en wiki more and do some edits in WikiProject Schools, and obvious vandalism from COI gets frustrating/exhausting. Once again thanks, for the heads up. Cheers. Issac I Navarro (talk) 16:18, 19 June 2026 (UTC)

File:Ainslee's Magazine cover 1922-10.jpg

Hi, can you let me know why this is removed from "Golfers in art"? You removed it twice without a comment. In my opinion, this is clearly an example of "golfers in art", and perhaps less so of "Illustrations of golf" as she is not actually golfing. But I can see that that category may apply too - one does not exclude the other. Thanks -- Deadstar (msg) 07:55, 16 July 2026 (UTC)

Definitely. Apologies I removed it twice without a message been using hotcat.
I didn't realize I removed it twice. I been going over a lot of golf related files over the past few days, trying to sort them out. I been wanting to work more on en wiki's golf related topic, however, I found it was impossible to find the golf related images.
Per en:WP:HC, and en:WP:DIFFUSE it seemed to be in line with parent and child cats. Help:Gadget-Cat-a-lot. Issac I Navarro (talk) 15:02, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
I added it back now, per your comment. Thanks for your reply! -- Deadstar (msg) 18:21, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
What might you suggest to to have it in? In the child cat or parent? Issac I Navarro (talk) 18:35, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
Sorry, I realised you actually moved a lot of "golfers in art" to "Illustrations of golf". My understanding is that we have:
Category:Golf in art: this holds all files and categories about golf in any artful form. Under that:
Category:Illustrations of golf: illustrations (so drawings, prints, but not paintings) of golf, including golfers, golf parties, swing demonstrations, diagrams of how to play, illustrations of golf clubs, tees, holes, golfballs, clubhouses, etc.
Category:Paintings of golf: paintings of golf, including golfers, golf parties, swing demonstrations, diagrams of how to play, illustrations of golf clubs, tees, holes, golfballs, clubhouses, etc.
Category:Golfers in art: has all files that depict golfers (typically, people with golf clubs, or famous golf players) in any artful form (illustration, painting, statue). This category does not have artful golf diagrams, tees, clubhouse, golf balls etc.
So the two categories (illustrations of golf and golfers in art) are sister categories under "golf in art". Let me know if that made it any clearer? -- Deadstar (msg) 19:07, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
That seems appropriate. I can concur with that rationale.
Also to note, there is also Category:Postcards of golf, that seems to be a bit of those matters. Issac I Navarro (talk) 19:58, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
Related question for you - do you think Category:Golf maps should be renamed Category:Maps of golf courses? I think that would be much more to the point? -- Deadstar (msg) 08:11, 17 July 2026 (UTC)
Indeed, that seems to be an excellent idea. Issac I Navarro (talk) 13:48, 17 July 2026 (UTC)
