Removal of "Category:Television station logos of...."

Hello - there appears to be several edits where you removed "Category:Television station logos of (state)" from images. I would imagine these are accidental, because your edits are very constructive, but I would ensure that if these are being removed, it is because they are being replaced appropiately. I have gone through and tried to revwert/re-add the categories that should have not been removed.--Astros4477 (talk) 23:42, 3 December 2024 (UTC)

Regardless of whether the logo is current, it should still be categorized to ensure users are able to find the logo. These categories don't stipulate that the logo is current, as many have former logos.--Astros4477 (talk) 00:00, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

On a related note, please try to avoid COM:OVERCAT. For example, File:WUAB 2024.svg shouldn't be placed in Category:Gray Television or Category:Television station logos of Ohio, because it's in Category:WUAB, which is already under those categories. What happened

You've been creating retaliatory deletion requests against Mvcg66b3r's files. That's why I've blocked you. Stop such behavior. Furthermore, you don't have to request to deletion of files for the benefit of your own separate uploads when you can actually replace the original file with a better version. @Bedivere: I just did a quick check of this user’s deletion requests. It looks like, out of their last 11 deletion requests, five were for their own uploads. Only one was for an upload by Mvcg66b3r. Based on that, I do not see any evidence of intimidation/harassment.

(It looks like these deletion requests might be misguided, but that is a separate issue and not necessarily a reason to block.) Brianjd (talk) 05:56, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
