Category:Streets named after Kyiv
You closed Commons:Categories for discussion/2022/06/Category:Streets named after Kyiv over 2 years ago, but Category:Streets named after Kyiv still points to it, and I can't actually understand what action is supposed to be the upshot of your close. Could you please sort this out? - Jmabel ! talk 17:11, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
Please, no one but you is likely to be able to work out what is going on here. - Jmabel ! talk 20:09, 29 March 2026 (UTC)
- Things became very confusing on whether Category:Streets are a subtype of Category:Roads, or the two are distinct enough to have separate Category:Roads and streets. The result of the consensus was clearly to merge Category:Roads and streets to Category:Roads and consider Category:Streets as subtype. But it was overturned by another discussion Commons:Village_pump/Archive/2023/11#Roads_and_streets. It has eventually been settled at Commons:Categories for discussion/2024/02/Category:Roads and streets that Category:Roads is the main category with Category:Streets, Category:Paths, Category:Highways, etc. as subtypes. Regarding Category:Streets named after Kyiv, the category would stay as it is, with maybe a parent category named Category:Roads named after Kyiv.
