RE:Imágenes propuestas para borrado
Dorieo, desgraciadamente Teofilo tiene algo de razón en lo que propone. Las fotos tomadas de Flickr, más allá de que se encuentran liberadas bajo una licencia compatible con Commons por sus fotógrafos, entran en conflicto con las leyes de FOP de Grecia por poseer contenido que tal vez no sea libre. La única posibilidad que hay para mantener las imágenes es ver si los textos en las fotografías son realizados por el gobierno griego y poder argumentar que pueden ser licenciados bajo {{PD-GreekGov}}. De otra forma, y de demostrarse que los textos e imágenes tienen copyright, estas imágenes deberían ser eliminadas de Commons, ya que según la legislación de Grecia, no pueden ser consideradas aptas para la reproducción ni mucho menos libres. Entiendo tu frustración y tu bronca, porque sé lo irrisorias y contradictorias que son las leyes de copyright a nivel mundial; lo cual muchas veces genera que imágenes válidas sean eliminadas de Commons por un tecnicismo legal un tanto tirado de los pelos. Más allá de eso, es cuestión de esperar a que la consulta de borrado siga su curso y ver si algún administrador que tenga un buen conocimiento legal sobre COM:FOP llega a una conclusión sobre estas. Pero mi primera impresión al ver las imágenes es que, en efecto, deberían ser eliminadas a menos que se aclare si los textos mostrados poseen copyright o no. Vi un comentario tuyo aquí que me llamó la atención. Sí, las licencias de Flickr están perfectamente claras, pero resulta que nada me impide subir allí los plagios más flagrantes con cristalinas licencias CC. No sé si me explico... Que otras imágenes estén mal, pues eso: deben borrarse, pero no justifica que haya otra más igual.

Athens Roman forum
If the Roman forum and the Roman agora aren't the same, then please show me where is the former and where is the latter. To me, there is no such thing as a Roman agora. Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Nuevas Imágenes para el Discóbolo
Hola Dorieo,
Yo también visité la exposición del MARQ en Alicante y tengo unas 50 imágenes del Discóbolo y varias más de otras estátuas, hechas por mi, con gran calidad que me gustaría contribuír. Para serte sincero me acabo de apuntar aquí sólo para mandarte este mensaje. No tengo ni idea. Yo no tengo el tiempo ni la paciencia para seguir todos los pasos y subirlas y clasificarlas como tú has hecho y como se debe hacer. La razón por la que te las ofrezco es porque veo que tienes experiencia en esto de wikipedia e interés por el mundo griego, y además, (perdona por la inmodestia) las mias tienen mucha mejor calidad que las que hay subidas ahora y cubren todos los ángulos.
Las puedes ver en un synth que he creado (una especie de realidad virtual) donde puedes rotar una imagen 3D del Discóbolo y hacer zoom para comprobar la calidad de las imágenes 3000px por 4000px, buena definición, enfoque, rango dinámico y balance de blancos.
Si estás interesado dejame un mensaje en el synth o por mail y te las envio con los datos o lo que haga falta. O alternativamente, enseñame una forma muy fácil de subirlas todas juntas y cumplir el protocolo sin meter la pata.

I had put the tag because Santorini category is crowded with "church in Santorini" pictures with no name of the church and often not even the name of the village, which make their use difficult for anything else than just postcards. Es la primera mención que recibo en toda la wiki, de verdad que me hace sentir muy orgulloso tu reconocimiento y me alienta -como dices tú- en esta silenciosa tarea que hacemos todos los Usuarios de todas las wikis. He visto que hablas español y que utilizas el modelo Template:Commons policies and guidelines en inglés. He intentado traducirlo. Si estuvieras interesado en cambiarlo en tu página de usuario solo tienes que añadir /es al final del template. Hola Dorieo, por casualidad he visto un par de fotos tuyas (esta y esta) que me parece que están traslocadas de iglesia. La gárgola del fotógrafo está en el extremo norte de la catedral de Palencia, en el ábside, y no, como has puesto, en la iglesia de San Miguel. No te asustes si ves que he quitado de muchas de tus fotos la categoría «Cultural heritage monuments in Castile and León». Esa es una categoría matriz de donde cuelgan otras categorías, pero hay bots que incluyen allí fotos al ver las plantillas BIC. Hola! es que en esta página me indica que el código del SVG contiene errores. Ya me ha pasado con otros gráficos creados con Inkscape pero no sé de que se tratan. Casi mejor dime cómo se hace, yo cuando es un copyvio sé hacerlo porque sólo hay que añadir ese modelo, pero cuando hay otro tipo de problemas ya me pierdo. ¿Se le pone la plantilla de no source o hay que hacer una consulta de borrado? Hola, me paso por aquí para agradecerte sinceramente tu participación en el debate de mi desbloqueo, incluso si ha sido finalmente infructuoso. Tras más de dos años completamente alejado de la interacción con la Wikipedia en Español, me causa gran tristeza el nuevo fracaso de mi petición. Como ya he comentado en mis peticiones de desbloqueo de las últimas semanas, mi única intención es pasar página y seguir contribuyendo al conocimiento libre. Reconozco la frustración de seguir en el mismo punto en el que estábamos en 2012, cuando ya se arguyeron políticas inexistentes para negar un desbloqueo que, aparentemente, cuenta con un respaldo mayoritario por parte de todos aquellos que han querido pronunciarse sobre el tema.
También te lo agradezco porque, posiblemente, no has apoyado mi desbloqueo por tu simpatía o cercanía hacia mí, sino porque crees que ese precisamente no es un argumento relevante y sí el avance del proyecto. Precisamente porque soy consciente de todo lo ocurrido y de todas las cosas que hice mal es que te doy las gracias por querer darme una oportunidad para demostrar con hechos que lo lamento y que deseo reparar los perjuicios causados. No voy a tirar la toalla y seguiré intentando poder volver a reintegrarme en el proyecto, con los mismos deberes que todos los demás, pero también con los mismos derechos. Hasta que esto ocurra, seguiré con mi labor en Wikiexilio, aquí en Commons y en Wikidata.Gracias finalmente por haber dado la cara en un debate en el que lo más cómodo era simplemente quedarse al margen. De todas formas, de fotografía no entiendo -la foto me parece muy bonita, alegre y que transmite buen rollo- por lo que creo que deberías hablar con Diego o con Edmundo (o con los dos, y/o con PedroJ). He visto un template que has puesto en la categoría de "All medias" de WMES diciendo que debiera in a "All medias". En realidad es al revés (IMHO) ya que "All medias" sería incorrecto puesto que "media" es plural y "All medias" parece ser un error de quien lo escribió. Por eso al igual que en otros capítulos, que tienen categorías de "All media" y no "All medias" estoy transicionando las de Wikimedia España hacia la primera.

Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photography contest hosted on Wikimedia Commons to document folklore and intangible cultural heritage from around the world, such as folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, folk activities, folk games, folk cuisine, folk wear, folktales, folk games, folk religion, mythology, and many more.
The campaign invites participants to document photographs, videos, and audios linked to folk culture and fit within the contest's theme. Through this campaign, you may become a part of a community dedicated to preserving our intangible culture, which has been brought and passed down for thousands of years.
How can I Contribute?
The dates for the submission in the photography contest on Wikimedia Commons are from 1 February 2024 through 31 March 2024. Probably you are wondering how you can take part. Wikimedia Commons is pleased to finally announce the winners of this year's Picture of the Year 2025 contest! We had some truly incredible finalists to choose from, but the community has spoken.
Here are your top three winning images:

I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.
Thank you to everyone who voted, helped organize, and generally made the contest such a huge success this year!
