1982 German stamps
They appear to depict a work of Max Pechstein, should I undelete if I can match it to a pre-1931 painting or just leave it for undeletion around 2078 (or before?) Abzeronow (talk) 02:04, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

- a happy new year to you :-) It's this painting from 1925 I think? That stamp should be safe to undelete now, the painting appears to be reproduced as a photograph (so no new copyright for the graphics), and I'd assume the paintings also counts as "published" in 1925 or so, so its US copyright should have expired. Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Paintings by Fernand Léger
Hi, I suggest you close this DR, and reopen small batches of files (by year or museum?) after checking the place of creation and publication. The DR is too long, and there are many uncertain cases. In addition, Bodyoaken has uploaded many more files, so they all have to be checked again. I am going to sort out the files by year, if it can help, and you can wait for some days. - I disagree. Doing that would mean tedious manual assembly of smaller DRs, and I won't do that because you feel the DR is too long. The works which are possibly PD-US based on the time of creation are already grouped together, and if you think others are possibly PD-US too because of some information that you found, write it in the DR, and those can be grouped together as well. Ja, die Anfrage ist korrekt. Ich verstehe nicht, was passiert ist, denn Commons hat es als [Luciano Luberti.jpg] hochgeladen, das bereits existiert (ein Foto von ihm mit Bart). Jedes Mal, wenn ich es hochgeladen habe, erschien nur dieses eine Foto, das schon lange auf Commons war. Deshalb habe ich es jetzt wiederhergestellt: Es ist eindeutig anhand der Namen der beiden abgebildeten (verstorbenen) Personen auf diesem über 60 Jahre alten Foto zu erkennen. Vielen Dank. Tschüss.

The Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) seeks candidates for the 2026 election. The U4C is the global committee responsible for overseeing enforcement of the Universal Code of Conduct. Elections are held annually, if elected a committee member serves for two years.
This year the U4C requires candidates to hold administrator rights on at least one wiki, which is why you are being contacted as you appear to hold this right. There are other requirements, such as candidates must be at least 18 years old and may not be employed by the Wikimedia Foundation or other related chapters and affiliates. You can find more information in the call for candidates on Meta-wiki. Additionally, the committee's working language is English; some ability to communicate in English is required.
The election opens on 18 May, if you are eligible and interested you have until 10 May to submit your candidacy. There will week between for candidates to answer questions from the community. Voting takes place privately in SecurePoll, successful candidates must receive at least 60% support. More information is available on the 2026 Elections page, including timelines and other candidacy information. If you read over the material and consider yourself qualified, please consider submitting your name to run for the committee. If you think someone else in your community might be interested and qualified, please encourage them to run.

Der Urheber, der Fotografierte und der Hochladende sind jedenfalls alle gleich, und sofern der Hochladende sich nicht irgendwie als Ralf Pieper verifizieren lassen hat, fehlt auch hier wieder die Einwilligung des Urhebers. Deletion puzzle
Hi, according to Commons:Deletion requests/File:Image of frenulum.jpg you deleted this file that has been in use for many years on w:Penile frenulum. It was one of the better images for this article. - Hallo Túrelio,
- das halte ich für eine ziemlich wacklige Geschichte. Da steht was von einer angeblichen Erklärung der Bundesbank, die am angegebenen Ort nicht auffindbar ist und m. W. auch nicht im VRTS dokumentiert wurde. Außerdem steht da was von einer „Erlaubnis“ für die „einfache Wiedergabe“. Commons:Licensing fordert bekanntlich ganz andere Dinge, nämlich eine Nutzung von jedem, jederzeit und für jeden Zweck – nicht nur für die „einfache Wiedergabe“.
