Souřadnice

Zdravím. Koukám, že například u této fotky jsou ulítlé souřadnice asi o 420 metrů, ostatní fotky z té lokality jsou ulítlé méně, ale taky docela dost. Pokud je takto nepřesná aplikace fotoaparátu na mobilu, tak s tím asi moc nenaděláš, takže je to z mé strany spíš jen takový postesk, a upozornění, abys o tom věděl. Ideální by bylo ty souřadnice pak kontrolovat a ručně dolaďovat, ale chápu, že to je piplačka a zabere to dost času, který člověk radši věnuje něčemu jinému. Je zajímavé, že třeba v aplikaci Mapy.cz dokáže mobil většinou určit polohu GPS celkem přesně, a přitom v tutéž chvíli na tom samém mobilu jiné aplikace ji střílejí takto od boku. Kategorizace a Strukturovaná data

Opět zdravím. K třídění a klasifikaci obrázků a dalších souborů v Commons se používají primárně kategorie (viz Commons:Categories). Ty ovšem nefungují jako pouhé tagování názvy obecných témat, ale je vždy třeba najít pro daný aspekt či kombinaci aspektů co nejhlubší (nejpřesnější, nejkonkrétnější) kategorii, tj. když se nějakému tématu chcete věnovat, je třeba se napřed porozhlédnout, jakým způsobem je dané téma kategorizováno a jaké kategorie pro něj existují, a případné nové kategorie pak zakládat s pochopením a respektováním principu a zvyklostí kategorizace.

Tzv. "strukturovaná data" je nástroj relativně nový, spíše zatím jen testovací, který zatím nemá zcela jasné využití, jejich obsah zatím ani nelze efektivně využívat ani spravovat, a proto jsou strukturovaná data plná z velké části nevyužitelného balastu bez pravidel a metodiky. Nicméně určitá vodítka, jak v SD odkazovat na zobrazovaná témata, přece jen existují: viz Commons:Depicts. Existuje v zásadě shoda na tom, že tento nástroj se má využívat primárně k odkazování na konkrétní témata (instance), tedy položky konkrétních objektů, osob atd., nikoliv na obecná témata (mraky, dopravní značka atd.). A stejně jako v případě kategorií, i zde se má odkazovat jen na to, co je na obrázku buď dominantní, nebo zřetelně a výrazně viditelné, resp. u čeho je reálné, že to někdo bude na daném obrázku hledat, nikoliv něco, co je jen nezřetelně viditelné někde na okraji nebo v pozadí. Odkazovaná nápověda říká, že se tvrzení "zobrazuje" má v SD používat "konzervativně", což by se asi mělo překládat "umírněně", "rozvážně", "zdrženlivě". A stejně jako v případě kategorií, i v odkazech na strukturovaných datech je třeba dávat pozor na nejednoznačné výrazy a neoznačovat například zpomalovací práh jako motorovou brzdu jen proto, že se obojí dá nazvat slovem "retardér".

Každopádně je-li na fotografii nějaký objekt či jev zobrazen natolik zřetelně a výrazně, že je fotografie využitelná jak jeho zobrazení a dokumentace, pak to má být zohledněno především v kategorizaci. "Strukturovaná data" zatím zdaleka nejsou v tak pokročilém stupni vývoje, aby byla schopná kategorizaci funkčně nahradit. Bude-li milion fotografií označeno, že zobrazují "chodník", "dopravní značku" nebo "osobní automobil", těžko si představit, jak takové tagy využít, zatímco v kategorizaci lze pak chodníky, dopravní značky nebo osobní automobily dále třídit do podkategorií podle místa, typu, výrobce, provedení, barvy či jiných relevantních kritérií a wikisoftware obsahuje efektivní nástroje, jak kategorie prohlížet a jejich obsah kontrolovat, třídit a udržovat, aby byly využitelné. Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2025 voting is open!

Dear Wikimedian,

You are receiving this message because we noticed that you previously voted in the Picture of the Year contest. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favourite images featured on Commons during the last year (2025) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

In this second and final round, you may vote for a maximum of five images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2025.

Round 2 will end at 2 May 2026, 23:59:59 UTC.

Announcing the Winners of Picture of the Year 2025!

Hi everyone,

Wikimedia Commons is pleased to finally announce the winners of this year's Picture of the Year 2025 contest! We had some truly incredible finalists to choose from, but the community has spoken.

Here are your top three winning images:

I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.

Thank you to everyone who voted, helped organize, and generally made the contest such a huge success this year!
