Kedves Bencemac!
Válaszod előre is köszönöm. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Totemadam (talk•contribs) 15:48, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
Kérj engedélyt a logó használatához. A sablonra pedig szvsz nincs szükség. Bencemac (talk) 15:54, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
Could you please, tell me where/how can I find the full list of files affected by this DR and/or how the uploader(s) were notified? (And their names(s)). @Elcobbola: pinging also you as you might be helpful in finding this information (as you seem to be the deleting admin). It is very likely that the files should be restored and the DR reopened. Ankry (talk) 15:28, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

Hi Bencemac, as this image is PD-US, I assume that it's a mere courtesy-DR, right? --Túrelio (talk) 08:49, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
@Túrelio: Yes, indeed. Although, it would not be the first fulfilled request from American soldiers. His concern is that neither of them consented for the photo. Regards, Bencemac (talk) 09:44, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
Ok. Deleted, as there weren't recognizable external uses. Though, it won't help much, as it is also offered as alamy.com. --Túrelio (talk) 10:09, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Körmend városközpont terve 01.JPG. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).
The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Körmend városközpont terve 01.JPG]]) and the above demanded information in your request.
You now have the Patroller right and may call yourself a patroller! Please take a moment to read the updated Commons:Patrol to learn how Patrolling works and how we use it to fight vandalism.
As you know already, the patrolling functionality is enabled for all edits, not just for new-page creations. This enables us to keep track of, for example, edits made by anonymous users here on Commons.

OTRS notification
Just a friendly reminder to ask that you do not disclose that a subject has contacted OTRS on-wiki unless given the ok by the subject in question, since communication to OTRS is supposed to be confidential. --Jonatan Svensson Glad (talk) 23:24, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
@Josve05a: Hello! Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if I know it correctly, indicating that the subject/copyright holder/uploader asks the removal of the file, is acceptable, in order to help administrators without OTRS-access. Of course I do and will not publish any further information, but requests only with a ticket number are usually handled with delay: and I think that is understandable if you don't want to act without context. Please point out if I'm wrong. Regards, Bencemac (talk) 09:09, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
Content in OTRS tickets should remain confidential per (on phab) - that also includes the fact that someone contacted us. We can on OTRS either (a) help guide the sender on how to themself nominate it for deletion; (b) request deletion ourselves without revealing that the subject requested it; or (c) ask the sender for permission to reveal that they wish for the image to be deleted. --Jonatan Svensson Glad (talk) 00:33, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for your detailed answer! Sorry about my mistake, next time I'll more prudent. Shouldn't Template:CopyvioOTRS's description be changed according to this? Bencemac (talk) 08:46, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
Fazekas Sándor oldala
Kedves Bencemac!
Elnézését kérem, de a Wikipédia rendszere kissé nehezen átlátható számomra.
Most sem vagyok benne biztos, hogy amit írok, eljut-e Önhöz...

Round 1 of Picture of the Year 2022 voting is open!
2022 Picture of the Year: Saint John Church of Sohrol in Iran.
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the two most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.
Bencemac (talk) 10:16, 17 December 2023 (UTC)

Information on temporary account IP viewer rights
Hello Bencemac,
On November 12, temporary accounts will be enabled on Commons. The IP of unregistered users will then be hidden for most users. You, as a patroller or license reviewer, are eligible to request the new temporary account IP viewer right, if you need it to continue fighting vandalism and abuse on Commons. If you want to request the right, please file the request here. Please be aware that you also have to accept the Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy in your preferences. For more information about temporary accounts, look at the project page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:34, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading File:Péter Kiszl in 2026.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.
Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Announcing the Winners of Picture of the Year 2025!
Hi everyone,
Wikimedia Commons is pleased to finally announce the winners of this year's Picture of the Year 2025 contest! We had some truly incredible finalists to choose from, but the community has spoken.
Here are your top three winning images:
First place: The aftermath of an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City on October 9, 2023, leaving widespread destruction in the Rimal area. Attribution: WAFA (Q2915969) / CC-BY-SA 3.0
Second place: Baby cape fur seal (Arctocephalus pusillus) sleeping at Cape cross, Namibia. Attribution: Giles Laurent / CC-BY-SA 4.0
Third place: A gigantic jet photographed from the International Space Station by astronaut Nichole Ayers. Attribution: public domain
You can view the full results and see where all your favorite images placed here: Full 2025 Results
I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.
Thank you to everyone who voted, helped organize, and generally made the contest such a huge success this year!
