This page contains instructions on creating a Partnership template using Partnership-Layout for Commons:Partnerships, a list of Partnership templates, and the requirements for these templates. These partnership templates are the standard way of identifying files from partnerships.

Instructions

This template should be used as part of a larger license tag on Commons (Category:License tags), see. This template should be called in the appropriate styling area of an HTML table by inserting {{Partnership-Layout|lang={}}} (or if using another template, inserting it in the |style= parameter).

Code example Renders as
{{Partnership-Layout|lang={}}}
cellspacing="8" cellpadding="0" style="width:100%;clear:both;text-align:center;margin:0.5em auto;background-color:var(--background-color-interactive-subtle,#f9f9f9);color: inherit;border:2px solid var(--border-color-muted,#e0e0e0); " dir="ltr" lang="en" class="layouttemplate partnershiptemplate" role="presentation"

The idea is that source templates allow institutions and Commons partnerships to be acknowledged as the source of an upload. It also should give the option to share a link to an institution website or catalogue.

Step 1

Create the template by typing Template:NAMEOFTEMPLATE into the search box above (replacing NAMEOFTEMPLATE with the name you want to give your template), click the red link to create the page. Copy and paste the template code below into the NAMEOFTEMPLATE, or the layout template NAMEOFTEMPLATE/layout if used, and click publish changes to create the page:

Code example Renders as

{{lang|{}|{{{text|{}}}}}}
----
<br />{{{ExemptFromTag|<small>{{Copyright-tag-still-required|{}}}</small>}}}

}<noinclude>

</noinclude>

Step 2

Replace the File:Example.svg with a picture or logo of your choice from Wikimedia Commons. Replace empty with the text you want to appear on the template (only if not for a /layout template). You can add links using standard wiki-markup.

Step 3

Once you have finished formatting the template it can be added to a commons information template. Usually it is used in the source field. Simply add the following code to the template and be sure to add the appropriate language id.
