Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2016 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eleventh edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2016) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top #1 and #2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for just one or maximal three image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on 20 April 2017, 23:59:59 UTC.

Kandinsky

Hi Carl, would you classify this painting by Kandinsky as "abstract"? It is not quite figurative but it does suggest some human shape in accordance with the title, so I am hesitating... What do you think? --Edelseider (talk) 09:07, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

That is always the problem with the "Paintings by subject" categories. But I would sort it as abstract because 1. the figures are very very far from being naturalistic, 2. most of his other works from that period are abstract. If I would search for this painting on Commons I would search in the category "Abstract paintings by Kandinsky" and not "Paintings of humans by Kandinsky". Вікі любить пам'ятки 2018 в Україні

Вітаємо!

1 вересня вже традиційно стартувала українська частина міжнародного фотоконкурсу «Вікі любить пам'ятки»! До 30 вересня включно Ви можете подавати власні фото пам'яток історико-культурної спадщини України — і змагатися за призи. Цього року є трохи змін у правилах конкурсу:

• фотографії пам'яток, для яких на момент початку конкурсу (відповідно до відомої Організаційному комітету інформації) не було жодної ілюстрації на Вікісховищі або у Вікіпедії, отримують коефіцієнт рівний 7 (для кожної пам'ятки);
• фотографії автоматично вантажаться у категорію, яка бере учать у номінації за найбільшу кількість сфотографованих об'єктів, для того, щоб фото позмагалося у номінації за найкраще фото потрібно вибрати необхідні налаштування у завантажувачі.

Також у конкурсі є спецномінація банерів для статей у Вікімандрах, детальніше за посиланням.

Наш цьогорічний конкурс добігає свого кінця — залишилося ще 4 дні. Проміжні підсумки конкурсу опубліковано на сайті. У нас зараз понад 13500 світлин, і це значить, що Україна посідає четверте місце, поступаючись Росії (23 тисячі), Німеччині (21 тисяча) та Італії (19 тисяч). Загалом, понад 200 учасників цього року уже. Дякуємо, що вантажили фото у попередні роки, якщо б Вам захотілося ще взяти участь цього року, то може бути корисно переглянути цей пост із покроковою інструкцією як вантажити світлини: «Як подати свою роботу на конкурс». Вікі любить пам'ятки 2019 в Україні

Привіт!

1 вересня вже традиційно стартує українська частина міжнародного фотоконкурсу «Вікі любить пам'ятки»! До кінця вересня Ви можете подавати власні фото пам'яток історико-культурної спадщини України — і змагатися за призи. Більше про те, як взяти участь, можна прочитати за посиланням.

Із детальними правилами можна ознайомитися тут. Для тих, хто раніше уже брав участь у конкурсі — зауважте, що цього року є певні зміни:

• у номінації «Найкраще фото» — файли повинні мати не менше 4 МПкс;
• у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток» — оцінка фотографії пам'ятки складається із суми базового та додаткових балів (в останній враховується чи ця пам'ятка вже фотографувалася іншими авторами та скільки фотографій пам'яток уже є з цього населеного пункту);

Нагадаємо, що фотографії автоматично беруть участь у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток»; однак для того, щоб фото позмагалося у номінації «Найкраще фото», потрібно підтвердити це при завантаженні.

Також цього року маємо спецномінації «Єврейська спадщина» та «Млини». Також окремо відзначатимуться найкращі відео із пам'ятками.

Вікі любить пам'ятки 2020 в Україні / Wiki Loves Monuments 2020 in Ukraine

Привіт!

З 1 по 30 вересня вже традиційно пройде українська частина міжнародного фотоконкурсу «Вікі любить пам'ятки»! На конкурс можна подавати власні фото пам'яток історико-культурної спадщини України — і змагатися за призи. Більше можна прочитати за посиланням.

Радимо ознайомитися із детальними правилами, а також із відповідями на часті питання. З найважливіших змін цього року:

• у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток» — збільшився додатковий бал за фотографії пам'яток (якщо світлин пам'ятки раніше не було завантажено, то можна отримати 21 бал.

Нагадаємо, що всі фотографії автоматично беруть участь у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток»; однак для того, щоб фото позмагалося у номінації «Найкраще фото», потрібно підтвердити це при завантаженні.

Цього року теж є спецномінації «Єврейська спадщина», «Млини» та «Відео». Також є спеціальна номінація від проєкту «Via Regia Ukraine» — у ній автоматично беруть участь світлини всіх пам’яток міст України, через які пролягає Via Regia — Дубно, Рівне, Острог, Львів, Броди, Городок (Львівська область), Луцьк, Володимир-Волинський, Радомишль, Житомир та Київ. Цього року у Завантажувачі не передбачено окремих параметрів для спецномінацій — світлини зараховуватимуться автоматично з відповідних списків.

Вікі любить пам'ятки 2020 в Україні: залишилося два тижні! / Wiki Loves Monuments 2020 in Ukraine: two weeks are left!

Привіт!

Українська частина міжнародного фотоконкурсу «Вікі любить пам'ятки» триватиме ще два тижні, до 30 вересня!

За перші два тижні учасники завантажили понад 16 тисяч фото українських пам’яток. Це поки найбільший результат серед усіх 29 країн, які цьогоріч організовують конкурс. Свої роботи на українську частину конкурсу вже подали 239 авторів, половина із них вперше долучилися до змагання. На знімках представлені пам’ятки з усіх регіонів України. Загалом сфотографовано 5568 об’єктів із конкурсних списків.

Найменш представленими поки є Луганська (69 фото 45 об’єктів) і Херсонська (81 фото 38 об’єктів) області та місто Севастополь (136 фото 39 об’єктів). Якщо у вас (чи у ваших друзів та знайомих) є світлини з цих регіонів — без вагань долучайтеся до фотозмагання!

У рамках спеціальної номінації «Єврейська спадщина» завантажено понад 650 світлин 126 пам'яток, з яких знімки 42 — завантажено вперше. Якщо ваш населений пункт має об'єкти єврейської культурної спадщини, але їх нема у списках, напишіть нам, щоб ми їх додали до списків!

Спеціальна номінація «Млини» — понад 640 фото 144 об'єктів, знімки 44 — завантажено вперше. Загалом база млинів зараз нараховує понад 615 об'єктів, і вона постійно доповнюється.

Вперше цього року ми втілюємо спеціальну номінацію від проєкту «Via Regia Ukraine» — на жаль, ще зовсім нема світлин із Бродів та Радомишля. І з Житомира є тільки 7 світлин, а з міста Рівного — 8 фото.

У спеціальній номінації «Відео» — понад 20 робіт.

Попереду ще два тижні конкурсу. Встигніть долучитися самі та запрошуйте друзів.

Радимо ознайомитися із детальними правилами, а також із відповідями на часті питання. Як і того року — у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток» можна отримати 21 бал за фотографії об'єктів, якщо світлин цієї пам'ятки раніше не було завантажено.

Нагадаємо, що всі фотографії автоматично беруть участь у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток»; однак для того, щоб фото позмагалося у номінації «Найкраще фото», потрібно підтвердити це при завантаженні.

Цього року вперше будуть окремо виділені фото з повітря (дронами, квадрокоптерами тощо) — у спеціальній номінації «Аерофото». Для того, щоб робота потрапила на спецномінацію потрібно вибрати її у Завантажувачі.

Також вперше проводиться спеціальна номінація «Пам'ятки Подесення», знову пройдуть спецномінації «Відео», «Єврейська спадщина», «Млини», «Пам'ятки національно-визвольної боротьби» та «Via Regia Ukraine». Для участі світлин у цих спецномінаціях не потрібно обирати нічого у Завантажувачі — світлини зараховуватимуться автоматично з відповідних списків.

Важливо! Цього року відбулася адміністративно-територіальна реформа. Однак, ми проводимо конкурс ще за попереднім адміністративно-територіальним устроєм. Ми почали роботу над створенням списків з новим поділом, але вона ще не є завершена. Ви можете користуватися тими новими списками, що вже є, якщо потрібно відшукати пам'ятку за новим поділом (деякі ОДА вже почали присилати у такому форматі), але пам'ятайте, що нові списки ще не є повними.

Вікі любить пам'ятки 2021 в Україні триває до 30 вересня / Wiki Loves Monuments 2021 in Ukraine is on till September 30

Привіт!

Нагадуємо, що до 30 вересня включно можна вантажити світлини та відео культурної спадщини України до національного етапу міжнародного фотоконкурсу «Вікі любить пам'ятки»!

Зараз Україна посідає 3-є місце за кількістю завантажених світлин, поступаючись Російській Федерації та Німеччині. За першу половину місяця було завантажено світлини пам'яток із усіх регіонів України, але частина із них є дуже погано представлена. Севастополь зараз представлений тільки однією пам'яткою і одним фото, Крим — 12 пам'яток і 51 фото. Детальніше — у таблиці:

Зі списками пам'яток можна ознайомитися тут. Усі номінації та спецномінації конкурсу описані тут.

Цього року у конкурсі є вісім спеціальних номінацій:

• «Аерофото» — для фото з повітря (зроблені дронами, квадрокоптерами тощо). Для того, щоб робота потрапила на спецномінацію потрібно вибрати її у Завантажувачі;
• «Відео» — для відеосюжетів з пам'ятками;
• «Єврейська спадщина» — для об'єктів із охоронним статусом, і без нього;
• «Млини» — для об'єктів із охоронним статусом, і без нього;
• «Пам'ятки національно-визвольної боротьби» — для об'єктів із охоронним статусом, і без нього;
• «Пам'ятки Подесення» — для об'єктів із охоронним статусом, і без нього;
• «Via Regia Ukraine» — для об'єктів із охоронним статусом 15 населених пунктів, що за цим маршрутом є.

Долучіться до опитування — допоможіть визначити, як проводити конкурс «Вікі любить пам’ятки» у 2022 році

Вітаємо! Ви отримуєте це повідомлення, бо брали участь в українській частині міжнародного конкурсу «Вікі любить пам’ятки» у минулі роки. Зараз організаційна команда конкурсу вирішує, як проводити його під час повномасштабної війни в Україні.

Ми розуміємо, що цього року ми не зможемо провести конкурс у звичному форматі — зокрема тому, що фотографування об'єктів в Україні зараз ускладнене міркуваннями безпеки. Однак наша місія із документування української культурної спадщини є як ніколи важливою, тому розглядаємо варіанти, як можна провести конкурс у обмеженому форматі.

Для цього хочемо запитати поради у спільноти конкурсу. Просимо приділити 5—7 хвилин (не пізніше середи, 6 липня), щоби висловити свою думку.

Вікі любить пам'ятки 2022 в Україні / Wiki Loves Monuments 2022 in Ukraine

Привіт!

Цього року українська частина міжнародного фотоконкурсу «Вікі любить пам'ятки» пройде з 1 по 31 жовтня — через російське вторгнення в Україну також довелося змінити умови: тільки світлини зроблені до 23 лютого 2022 року включно будуть прийматися в основній частині конкурсу.

В Україні цей конкурс пройде вже водинадцяте. На конкурс можна подавати власні фото пам'яток історико-культурної спадщини України — і змагатися за призи. Більше можна прочитати за посиланням.

Радимо ознайомитися із детальними правилами, а також із відповідями на часті питання. Як і того року — у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток» можна отримати 21 бал за фотографії об'єктів, якщо світлин цієї пам'ятки раніше не було завантажено.

Нагадаємо, що всі фотографії автоматично беруть участь у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток»; однак для того, щоб фото позмагалося у номінації «Найкраще фото», потрібно підтвердити це при завантаженні.

Цього року знову пройде спецномінація «Відео» — для участі робіт у цій спецномінації не потрібно обирати нічого у Завантажувачі — роботи зараховуватимуться автоматично з відповідних списків.

5 днів Вікі любить пам'ятки 2022 в Україні / 5 days of Wiki Loves Monuments 2022 in Ukraine

Привіт!

Українська частина міжнародного фотоконкурсу «Вікі любить пам'ятки» вже почалася — за 5 днів фотозмагання Україна вийшла на 12-е місце за кількістю світлин у світі. Не кількістю єдиною, звісно, але гарно було б не надто сильно відстати від російської частини конкурсу, і хоча б потрапити до почесних топ-5.

Цього року вперше у конкурсі є спеціальна номінація «Фотоплівка» — на неї можна подавати скани світлин, зроблених на фотоплівці — мова може йти й про скани самої фотоплівки і скани з віддрукованих знімків із неї. Ця спецномінація покликана мотивувати оцифровувати й ділитися своїми фотоархівами: частина об'єктів уже виглядає дуже відмінно, а частина — більше не існує… Враховуючи сучасну ситуацію із російським вторгненням і можливість потенційної втрати таких фотоархівів, ця спецномінація — актуальна. Врахуйте, що для того, щоб світлина потрапила на спецномінацію, потрібно вибрати відповідне поле у Завантажувачі.

Автори світлин маловідомих пам'яток України зможуть позмагатися за відзнаку від «Україна Інкогніта».

Також уже традиційно пройде спецномінація «Відео» — для участі робіт у цій спецномінації не потрібно обирати нічого у Завантажувачі — роботи зараховуватимуться автоматично з відповідних списків.

Нагадаємо, що всі фотографії автоматично беруть участь у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток»; однак для того, щоб фото позмагалося у номінації «Найкраще фото», потрібно підтвердити це при завантаженні.

Привіт! Сподіваємося, що ви та ваша родина у безпеці. Нагадуємо, що залишилося три дні до завершення конкурсу «Вікі любить пам'ятки», і якщо у вас є можливість взяти участь у конкурсі цього року — долучайтеся!

Трохи статистики за результатами чотирьох тижнів конкурсу:

• завантажено понад 11000 світлин, які зображують майже 3700 об’єктів культурної спадщини;

  • з них фотографії 180 пам'яток — вперше подані на конкурс;

• понад 500 світлин подано у спецномінації «Фотоплівка»;
• вже більше 220 учасників та учасниць;

  • з них більше 130 — зареєструвалися вже під час конкурсу.

Найменш представлені регіони — Севастополь (1 фото), Донецька (19), Миколаївська (20), Кіровоградська (58), Крим (72), Херсонська (74) та Луганська (80). Конкурсні списки за регіонами можна переглянути тут: списки пам'яток.

Вікі любить пам'ятки 2023 в Україні / Wiki Loves Monuments 2023 in Ukraine: перший тиждень

Привіт! Сподіваємося, що у Вас та Ваших рідних усе максимально добре. Нагадуємо, що конкурс триває до 31 жовтня. За перший тиждень конкурсу в українській частині конкурсу завантажено понад 4000 фото, взяли участь майже 90 учасників.

Важливо! Через російське вторгнення в Україну також довелося змінити умови: тільки роботи зняті до 30 червня 2023 року включно будуть прийматися на конкурс. Єдиний виняток — спецномінація «Інтер'єри» можна подавати світлини без обмежень за датою створення.

Zuschnitte

Hallo Carl Ha, ich sehe gerade deinen Bild-Revert bei File:Fritz Zapp, Rheinisches Bildarchiv, rba 720005.jpg. Grundsätzlich hast du ja recht, aber das Entfernen eines Rahmen fällt Commons:Overwriting existing files unter "Geringfügige Verbesserungen" und ist erlaubt. Fehler Fritz Zapp

Hallo Carl, ich sehe, du beschäftigst dich mit der Fotosammlung Fritz Zapp, worüber ich mich sehr freue. Ich hatte die Fotos 2021 im Rahmen von Coding da Vinci hochgeladen und die Seiten Commons:Coding da Vinci Nieder.Rhein.Land 2021/Zuordnungen zu RBA, Bestand Fritz Zapp bzw. Commons:Coding da Vinci Nieder.Rhein.Land 2021/Zuordnungen zu RBA, Bestand Joseph Knippenberg erstellt, um systematisch Fehler und Anmerkungen zu Fotos zu sammeln, die ich an das Rheinische Bildarchiv (RBA) weitergeben kann. Als Kölner bin ich schon lange dem RBA freundschaftlich verbunden (und auch dem Historischen Archiv, unter deren Fiitiche das RBA dieses Jahr geschlüpft ist)-

Hallo Raymond, ja meine Beschäftigung resulierte daraus, weil ich sämtliche Fotos aus der Sammlung im Projekt PastVu georeferenziert habe, siehe hier bei den neu hochgeladenen Fotos von Köln im Projekt (https://pastvu.com/ps?f=r!2109). Dort habe ich alles korrigiert, was mir so an Fehlern aufgefallen ist. Ich kann die Sachen aber nochmal gesondert rausschreiben für deine Liste, das mache ich die Tage dann mal. Kick-Kategorie

Hallo, du hast die offensichtlich falsch benannte Category:Wilhelm Kick, Einfache Neubauten, Stuttgart 1890 nach Category:Wilhelm Kick, Einfache Neubauten, Stuttgart 1899/1900 verschoben. Bevor die Bilder mit Cat-a-lot hinterher verschoben werden, würde ich gerne zur Diskussion stellen, ob der neue Name so bleiben soll. Ich finde ihn unnötig lang. Der Ort ist im Kategorienamen verzichtbar, und sind die Jahreszahlen überhaupt eindeutig nachweisbar? "Wilhelm Kick, Einfache Neubauten" fände ich schon ausreichend. Wenn alle Dateien aus einer Jahresausgabe stammen, könnte man dieses Jahr mit ins Lemma aufnehmen. Zwei verschiedene Jahre in einer Kategorie zusammenzufassen kann ich weniger nachvollziehen. Des Weiteren müssten noch die Dateien umbenannt (die Rechte dazu habe ich) und falsche Angaben aus den Beschreibungen geändert werden. Für die Datierungsangabe würde ich "ca. 1900" mit Template:Circa vorschlagen, sofern nicht ein bestimmtes Jahr nachweisbar ist. Gruß, Sitacuisses (talk) 22:55, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

Halle, ja kurze Bezeichnung für die Kategorie erscheinen mir sinnvoll. Für die Beschreibung finde ich "ca. 1900" nicht so passend, da sie entweder 1899 oder 1900 veröffentlicht wurden, daher 1900 das spätesteste Datum darstellt. Ein "ca." würde ja implizieren, sie könnten auch von etwa 1905 sein. "1899 oder 1900" erscheint mir am sinnvollsten oder "spätestens 1900" (da die Fotos ja sowie bereits einige Jahre früher gemacht worden sein können. Carl Ha (talk) 23:05, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

Historische Bilder in hoher Auflösung von Bildindex der Kunst und Architektur

Hallo Carl Ha, besten Dank für deine Uploads von Ludwig Bickell in hoher Auflösung! Ich möchte gerne wissen, wie du das bewerkstelligt hast. Beispiel: File:Bickell Frankenberg Obermarkt 1880.jpg. Der in deinem Kommentar angegebene Link führt einer Ansicht des Bildes beim Bildindex der Kunst und Architektur, die sich stark vergrößern lässt aber leide keine Download Möglichkeit bietet. Ja das ist tatsächlich einigermaßen kompliziert. Ich finde es auch ärgerlich, dass Bildindex zwar einen Download anbietet, aber immer nur von einer sehr niedrig aufgelösten Version. Ich frage mich, was das soll. Gerade auch bei Fotos die ja gemeinfrei sind aber auch bei solchen die der Bildindex als Creative Commons veröffentlicht. Das ist ja eigentlich total widersprüchlich – freie Lizenz und enorme Hürden beim Download.

Nun konkret nach dem wie – ich nutze dafür das Programm "dezoomify-rs", welches bei Bildindex jedoch nicht ohne weiteres funktioniert. Eine Erklärung wie Bilder vom Bildindex mit diesem Programm trotzdem heruntergeladen werden können findet sich hier: https://github.com/lovasoa/dezoomify/issues/75

Danke, aber diese Verwendung von dezoomify ist mir zu kompliziert. Ich habe mal die Firefox Variante ausprobiert aber die funktioniert bei mir nur bis zu einer mittleren Auflösung und ist auch nervig.

Aber du bringst es auf den Punkt: Viel besser wäre eine Lösung zusammen mit dem Bildindex. Ich wohne vor Ort und werde mal per Mail anfragen, ob eine Zusammenarbeit bei den Bickell Fotos möglich ist. Bei deinen Uploads zur Frankenberger Stadtpfarrkirche ist File:Frankenberg (Eder), Evangelische Stadtpfarrkirche (ehemalige Liebfrauenkirche).jpg dabei, den ich auch schon gemacht habe, allerdings nur mit geringer Auflösung aber genauerer Beschreibung und Dateinamen. Dieses Bild ist jetzt doppelt. Wie wollen wir damit umgehen? Ich fände es am besten, wenn mein Upload auch die hohe Auflösung bekommt. Dann wäre dein Upload überflüssig. Was meinst du? Umbenennen von Dateien

Hallo! Umbenennungen von Dateien mögen sinnvoll sein, aber beachte bitte COM:RENAME. Das User-Schema sollte beibehalten werden und nett ist es, erst beim Urheber zu fragen. In den Metadaten ändert sich der Titel nämlich nicht. Ich - als Beispiel - benenne die Datei erst im eigenen Bestand um, lade diese mit angepassten Metadaten hoch und benenne erst dann die Datei um. Поки зовсім відсутні світлини з АР Крим та Севастополя. Дуже мало робіт із Луганської (1 фото), Миколаївської (2), Донецької (35), Херсонської (42). Менше 100 робіт із Хмельницької (55), Кіровоградської (63), Черкаської (65), Рівненської (70), Одеської (73) та Запорізької (96) областей. Можливо, у Вас є світлини пам'яток з цих регіонів? Або Ви знаєте людей чи організації, до яких можна звернутися, щоб завантажили?

Також нагадуємо, що цього року є спеціальні номінації, де можна завантажувати і ті об'єкти, які не охороняються офіційно — «Єврейська спадщина» (включаючи караїмські), «Німецька спадщина» та «Польська спадщина». Galleries for logos

Can you please stop adding logos for postcard publishing companies to the one for postcard publishers? It's not that difficult, if it's a logo for a company it goes in Logos of postcard publishing companies. Otherwise it goes in Logos of postcard publishers. Your just creating pointless duplication and casuing extra work by not doing it that way though.

No they don't. There's plenty of photographers and smaller publishers who independently published postcards without incorporating into an official company. There's also guidelines on here that have to be followed like the Universality Principle "The categorization structure should be as systematical and unified as possible, and local dialects and terminology should be suppressed in favour of universality if possible." As things currently stand, Category:Publishers is a child of ones for people and categories for "publishing companies" are subcategorized under ones for companies. Ergo, why they should be separate. Aside from my point that a lot of publishers didn't publish postcards as part of an official business and/or weren't connected to one. For example "Arthur F. Krüger" is a publisher but was also running one of the biggest publishing companies at the time. How should we know it? In this case we know from literature but in most cases there is no existing information about the publishers and no chance to know if they had a bigger business or not. I didn't "delete" information. I moved the logos to the gallery for postcard publishing companies which is totally fine and not vandalism. It's my progrative to better organize the images if I want to. Please discuss it if you disagree and don't try to turn it into an edit war. I told you the current gallery doesn't work or follow the guidelines. At least propose an alternative if your going to reject my idea to create a subpage for it on Wikiproject Postcards. The two seperate lists already exited and follow how other things are categorized. I don't really care if there's a top level gallery but you can't mix logos or categories for people and companies together because it goes against the guideline. I suggested doing it as a subpage of Wikiproject Postcards but there's zero reason it needs to be done this way. I'm not going to ignore the guidelines and screw up the current system just because you can't handle creating another gallery for it. Sorry. Sorry but how should I meet a user half way that is just reverting my changes without any consent? You doesn't seem to looking for a compromise but just wanting to do it your way without. By creating a gallery outside of the main space so it doesn't mix logos or categories for people with ones for companies. I've been moving the logos to a gallery for companies for months now without issue. Your the one splitting things without discussion. I would strongly recommend that you not accuse another user with whom you have a dispute of "vandalism." "Vandalism" means a deliberate effort to harm the project, or at the very least reckless disregard of project goals in service of some other end. Bilderspende Ludwig Bickell des DDK Bildarchiv Foto Marburg

Hallo Carl Ha, durch deine Kategorisierungsarbeit bin ich auf die inzwischen erfolgte große Bilderspende des Bildarchivs Foto Marburg von Bickell Fotos aufmerksam geworden. Im Januar 2025 hatte ich mit Dr. Christian Bracht, dem Direktor des Bildarchivs Foto Marburg, nach seiner öffentlichen Ankündigung "Bildarchiv Foto Marburg bietet kostenfreie Nutzung von mehr als einer Million Kunstbildern" diesbezüglich Kontakt aufgenommen. Im März hatte mich Frau Meiners vom DDK kontaktiert und über Einzelheiten der geplanten Bickellschen Bilderspende informiert, die mit OpenRefine durchgeführt wurde. Technisches Problem war der Sourcelink zur Bildseite bei Foto Marburg wegen der neu eingeführten PIDs, welche die alten obj-links ablösen. Die von ihr hochgeladenen, voll aufgelösten 2575 Fotos ergänzen den vorhandenen Bestand von Bickell bei Wikimedia Commons.

Hallo, danke für die Nachricht und fürs anleiern. Erfreulich, dass das geklappt hat! Ich bin kein Freund allzu komplexer Kategoriebäume, deswegen hab ich den Bestand einfach nach Orten sortiert, das ist ja denke ich auch die maßgebliche Ordnung die interessiert. Für Personen und Bücher habe ich auch Kategorien angelegt, einfach weil es so viele Fotos waren und die mich in der Hauptkategorie beim Sortieren "gestört" haben.

Falls du möchtest, kannst du gerne auch Bilder einsortieren bzw. neue Kategorien erstellen. Ich richte mich nach heutiger Verwaltungsgliederung (also heutige Gemeinden/Städte. Bsp. Fotos von Rauischholzhausen kommen zu Ebsdorfergrund. Orientiert habe ich mich dabei an dem Bestand von Erwin Quedenfeldt.)

Oje! Heute wurden alle Bilder mit kleinen Änderungen an den Metadaten erneut hochgeladen. Dadurch wurden alle bisherigen Metadaten, also auch unsere neuen Kategeorien überschrieben und damit gelöscht! Damit sind alle unsere Nacharbeiten und Kategorisierungen verloren gegangen! Ich bin mit Frau Meiners vom Bildarchiv Foto Marburg in Kontakt und sie macht den ganzen Batch rückgängig. Mal sehen ob das klappt. I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.

Geschäft für Seifen ....

Hallo Carl Ha ich habe das von dir hochgeladen Bild - Geschäft für Seifen, Oel, Lichte, Auguste Pfeffer, Fischer, vermutlich Berlin angeschaut und dann ein bisschen in den Adressbüchern Berlins recherchiert, es gibt da, 1908 glaube ich, einen Johann Fischer (obwohl J da nicht so gut passt) mit einer Seifenhandlung in der Kopfstrasse 16 in Rixdorf. Logos Postkarten

Hallo Carl Ha, danke dafür das du immer wieder neue Logos von Postkarten hochlädst. Ich entdecke die immer wieder in der Liste Logos on postcards durch Zufall. Kannst du bei den dazugehörigen Kategorien einfach noch die folgende Wartungskategorie hinzufügen:

• Category:Postcard publishers with missing wikidata infobox

Das wäre super, dann könnte ich da jeweils die Wikidata-Objekte anlegen. Bei Category:Edizione Karl Engelberger z.B. gerade gefunden hier und hier und der Gründer vermutlich d:Q133499222. Beste Grüße --sk (talk) 20:02, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
