I am an Internet native that believes the internet should be more of a free place than what it has become.
Having begun using the Internet just before and during the rise of current day social media platforms I long for the time before widespread control and censorship. At times I do my part to make knowledge and software freely accessible, but I likely won't do too much here.
Living all my life in Norway and using the Internet daily for over a decade I have a great grasp of English. In fact, I probably know a lot more English at this point than I do Norwegian. My way of speaking, or writing, can be a bit peculiar at times but that's something I do in Norwegian as well. Being Norwegian though, I can also understand Danish and Swedish without too much difficulty. I learned German in school, but as with a lot of other subjects a lack of interest has left me with little but rudimentary knowledge. I do hear it relatively often from WW2 games and I've watched Derik growing up. Together with knowing Norwegian and English, I can largely understand German but grammar I'm not much good at. At times I even sneak into German only servers in games due to them being one of the only viable servers. Nynorsk I was even less interested in, so writing it is painful, but I can understand most of it just fine.
I play video games of all kinds, but I'm more inclined to strategy, historical games (especially WW2), tactical shooters and RPGs akin to Fallout and Kingdom Come.
It happens relatively often I get the urge to do some specific thing, which can manifest in hours, days, weeks sometimes even a month or two of focused effort on a particular thing or subject. I've read long articles on Wikipedia for hours at a time. I've made pictures, videos, I even learned how to do basic modelling in blender at some point for a model of a Panzer 38(t) which I spent almost 100 hours on. I've never used it for anything, it doesn't have a texture or anything, but the turret and guns can move independently and it's as accurate a model I could make it from pictures I found from the F model. I should upload a picture of it here if I remember.
All of my projects have resulted in some basic knowledge of a lot of different programs. My mother showed me paint.net many years back and I've used it ever since for easy picture editing. I know Premier Pro from school, but mostly because I've used it for my own works. I also learned how to use a camera, and I do at times take pictures when I find a landscape that speaks to me. To edit audio I've used Audacity a fair few times but I really mostly know only how to cut and fade. In addition, I also know how to make basic websites. They look like they're from the early 2000s, but they're easy to make and I honestly prefer them like that anyway
If you want me to help with something for some reason, feel free to send a message or something if you can. I'm called Felis Catus or Felisitus most places if you can't contact me here.
