- Hello @Kiril Simeonovski, as mentioned above, the reason the nominations (e.g. Commons:Valued image candidates/Поглед на Пуздерци.jpg/2) wasn't working because of the name of the nomination page. The templates and the VICbot doesn't recognize page names with

Too dark!
My friend, you take beautiful photographs! The subjects are very well documented, but there aren't many votes... I'm sure it's a small detail, but one that's quite important. Your images are underexposed. The dull colors aren't eye-catching. Perhaps you're using filters that are responsible. Please do not remove withdrawn featured picture candidates
Hello Kiril, I have a small tip and/or a small request for you. You often remove featured picture nominations from the candidate list after withdrawing them (like e.g. here). That’s very kind of you, but it’s not necessary and actually has some disadvantages.
First, you can immediately make a new nomination after withdrawing another one; withdrawn nominations do not count towards the limit of 2 active nominations per user, even if they are still on the list.
Second, FPCBot removes withdrawn nominations from the candidate list, so you do not need to do that yourself. The bot just waits 24 hours after the last edit to a withdrawn nomination before it removes the nomination; that makes sense, because sometimes people withdraw the withdrawal. When the 24 hours have passed and the bot runs for the next time, it does not only remove the nomination from the list, it also properly adds it to the log page for the current month. If you remove the nomination manually, you would also have to add it to the log page yourself, else it doesn’t get recorded and it is very hard to find the nomination, to include it in statistics, etc. If we want to get proper and meaningful statistics etc., we must include every nomination in the lot page, including withdrawn, FPXed, FPDed etc. nominations.
Therefore my plea: Please either let the bot remove withdrawn nominations from the candidate list (this will also save you work), or, if you want to remove them yourself, add them to the current log page as well. - You are welcome. IIRC there was a time when the bot did not process withdrawn nominations correctly, so this may be the reason why people used to remove withdrawn nominations themselves. Round 1 of Picture of the Year 2025 voting is open!
Dear Wikimedian,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2025 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year is the twentieth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favourite images featured on Commons during the last year (2025) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the top 5% of most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just five images to become the Picture of the Year.
Round 1 will end on UTC.
