Hi Daderot - two photos you uploaded in October last year as "Pinus lumholtzii" are absolutely not that species, but Pinus montezumae; I have renamed and recategorised them: File:Pinus montezumae - Christchurch Botanic Gardens - Christchurch, NZ - DSC02967.jpg and File:Pinus montezumae - Christchurch Botanic Gardens - Christchurch, NZ - DSC02969.jpg. Note the non-pendulous, stout, needles in 5s not 3s, persistent needle sheaths, and stout shoots. If the gardens had them labelled as Pinus lumholtzii, it would be a good idea to let them know so they can correct their labels. Hope this helps! - MPF (talk) 20:30, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

Mixtec Mosaic Knife

Belonged to the San Francisco Museum of Fine arts or the De Young's permanent collection, or if it was on loan from another museum? Did you photograph the display label, or recall if it was featured in a specific exhibition? I can't seem to find it in their online collection

Also, were there any other Mesoamerican or otherwise Precolumbian pieces on display you photographed that you have not uploaded here to Wikimedia yet?

Hello MajoraZ - I'm very sorry to report that I can't find any trace of this photo on my computer. Usually I save everything, including a separate photo of the label.... but alas, I can't find anything. It's strange that I can't. Moving from Category:Mashed potatoes in the United States to Category:Hungry-Man mashed potatoes

Do we know pretty clearly that Hungry-Man meals are only sold in the United States? If not, this was an incorrect re-categorization, because it can't be a subset of Mashed potatoes in the United States if its sold in other countries. Famartin (talk) 18:30, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

Greetings - when I uploaded the file, I included all relevant copyright information for both China and the US. For some reason, someone deleted all the license tags. I have now restored them. Surfing was First Brought Here by Hawaiian Princes - Santa Cruz, California

Hello, My name is Jared, and I am an intern at Smithsonian Folkways Recordings.

Our team is developing a series of curriculum materials for educators called Smithsonian Folkways Music Pathways, designed to address disparities in K–12 classrooms and be used as resources in nontraditional educational spaces. These resources will be provided FREE to educators, everywhere. Each pathway focuses on a particular historical, cultural, geographic, or musical theme (e.g., The Music Cultures of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders).

We want to give you a heads-up that we will be using Surfing was First Brought Here by Hawaiian Princes - Santa Cruz, California in our slideshow while following the guidelines of the associated Creative Commons license.
