- @4nn1l2 the CentralNotice is on its way imminently - there was some holdup at the Meta end which Seddon is I believe sorting out. It was on the calendar but for some reason didn't make it to the actual schedule. I wasn't aware R2 got the same watchlist/main page treatment as R1 (in hindsight it makes sense that it would...) - I'll make an AN request now. firefly ( t · c ) 06:09, 20 October 2021 (UTC)

Link to other languages on POTY 2020 results page
Why there is no "languages" link on Commons:Picture of the Year/2020/Results? Just like it is on Commons:Picture of the Year/2019/Results or other translatable POTY 2020 pages. --jdx Re: 22:11, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Dear Firefly, I hope you are doing fine! Thank you so much for all your efforts to make POTY run the last few years, your contribution really is infinitely appreciated. Unfortunately, the only committee member that understands POTY scripts has burned out from wikipedia and POTY is now in desperate need of help of someone that can help to run it for this year. Join the first national Wiki Science Competition 2025 in India from 1 Nov to 15 Dec

You are receiving this message as you have previously participated in one of the Wiki Loves X campaigns or are an active Wikimedia Commons contributor.
We’re excited to announce that the Wiki Science Competition 2025 in India is being organized for the very first time at a national level. This global campaign celebrates science through freely licensed images, videos, and other media on Wikimedia Commons. By participating, you help make science more visible, accessible, and inspiring to people everywhere.
The competition features eight exciting categories:
- People in Science
- Microscopy
- Astronomy
- Everyday Science
- Scientific Equipment
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Special Category
Campaign Duration: The competition will run from 1 November to 15 December 2025. You can upload your images anytime during this period.
Images taken before 1 November 2025 are also eligible, as long as they have never been uploaded to Wikimedia Commons before.
We’re excited to introduce the first-ever dedicated "Mobile Photography" participation option. Now, you can upload photographs taken with your mobile phone directly through a special upload wizard.
This new option is designed to encourage students and individuals who may not have access to high-end cameras like DSLRs to participate. Whether your images are captured using a mobile phone or a professional DSLR, all submissions will be judged equally within the relevant category. This ensures that everyone has an equal opportunity to capture and share the wonders of science from their own perspective.
