Etymology
Deverbal from Old SwedishCategory:Swedish terms derived from Old Swedish#KRÄK kræka (“to crawl”), possibly with the original sense "to curve" (and if so, related to krake and krok). Originally of smaller creeping or crawling animals, "lower" animals. Compare Norwegian Nynorsk krek.
