This uprooted birch still has contact with the soil at the bottom of its root ball, meaning the birch is still alive. Over time, a new sapling has grown at the top of the root ball which is very remarkable.. The scene is beautifully showcased against the misty background.

  •  Comment This must be quite tricky to photograph and the background has been done well. Perhaps the highlights could be reduced and the shadows lifted? Unfortunately, I don't think your Z50 has focus-shift-shooting like your friend's Z8. That gives him an advantageǃ But your shot of the Margaret crown is much sharper than his recently-promoted FPC and I prefer your slightly lower PoV. Without focus-stacking, the bottom of the relic is blurred. Although, it doesn't matter for Commons FPC, but I would put the image into the Charlemagne deWiki article. I could agree with technical, as i see, wide zoom is used, going into fisheye specter. Doing shot on 14 mm (@FF), f/13, 1/100s and ISO 2000 is not good choice. Or ideal.
