French polling graph
Please, stop replacing the graph I created with an identical graph whose only difference is being created by yourself. If you think anything can be improved you should discuss it instead of uploading duplicated files. Basque mapping (talk) 13:17, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
- I initially wasn't aware you were intent on updating the file, so I created my version in order to have one that I am able to update regularly. I've had experience replacing abandoned polling graphs before and decided it's best not to wait and just to make sure that the page is up-to-date. The reason I put my version back after you reverted it is because I think the smoothing options you chose aren't as good at depicting the change in vote share and I personally think that the 5% breaks make more sense here as the numbers are lower and the polls are closer than a lot of other polls.
- My recommendations for your graph are that you change the smoothing to something closer to 8.500-8.750 and that you add
,breaks = seq(0,35, by = 5)afterlimits=c(1,35). - I'm sorry I didn't realise you were the original creator of the French opinion polling graph and that I assumed you'd forgotten about it (like the previous people with the Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, and Austrian graphs before me). GlowstoneUnknown (talk) 13:33, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for the answer. I've changed the smooth to 9.0 but I haven't changed the 10% breaks (as this are almost always used in other graphs). I can't guarantee you updating the graph everyday, but I will do my best to maintain the graph updated. Now I'm going to replace the graphs on the polling articles. Cheers! i think there is a KPÖ poll missing (1%; 17–21 Feb 2023) could you add their election result too? Braganza (talk) 16:49, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for drawing this to my attention, but thankfully past me noticed this, and when I checked my CSV, it was already included, I must have noticed the efn before whilst I was setting up the R code. – GlowstoneUnknown (Talk) 02:11, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- i think adding their 2019 result would push the KPÖ line down at the start before their actual breakthrough (there was only one scenario like poll which had them at 4%) Braganza (talk) 10:50, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- The CSV includes their 2019 result, just for some reason the line won't go back that far when I generate it, probably because of smoothing issues with extrapolating a line between two points that long – GlowstoneUnknown (Talk) 11:35, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- i see but but the "crystal" is not visible either for some reason
- anyway if it was missing, i had ask you to include Wandl too but i guess it won't work either ;) Braganza (talk) 13:43, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah the crystal won't show up no matter what I do for whatever reason, I've since added the polls for KEINE & LMP, but the crystal won't show up for them either I believe. – GlowstoneUnknown (Talk) 13:46, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

Norwegian threshold
Hi! I noticed you moved the Norwegian threshold in the 2025 polling graph from 4% to 3%. As far as I know, no change has been made to the threshold in the election law, nor is it scheduled to be done at some point before the 2025 election either. I could have somehow missed it, I suppose, so I was wondering if you could share what you based this change on? Cheers! Μαρκος Δ (talk) 12:22, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, I implemented this change largely based on this passage in the 2021 page, to be fair, I didn't reconcile this with other sources and it may not have been implemented after the change of government. I should have fact checked that, my bad. – GlowstoneUnknown (Talk) 12:30, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- Ah I see, that's understandable! However, valglovutvalget (essentially an electoral law reviewing committee, which is re-appointed and makes new reports every couple of years) does not make any binding decisions, just recommendations. They recommended a 3% threshold, but none of the politicians with the power to do so, including Solberg, have given any signal that they're going to actually make that change, unfortunately, so it should still be 4%. Thanks for the explanation though, and sorry to intrude :) Μαρκος Δ (talk) 22:30, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- No need to apologize, thanks for pointing it out and helping make the encyclopædia better, I've since reverted the change on the file. – GlowstoneUnknown (Talk) 02:03, 7 September 2024 (UTC)

Current Senate of Thailand It is not appointed by the head of state, but comes from indirect election that has The peculiarity is that it is an election system that allows candidates to choose among themselves in professional groups. Which group should I be in? Preime TH (talk) 02:29, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- Could you explain the system a bit better? I'm not sure I understand what you're suggesting. – GlowstoneUnknown (Talk) 04:40, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- It is a system that allows candidates to select their own candidates, which will be divided into 20 groups, which will select within the group and cross from the district level, provincial level, and national level. You may not understand because the system is quite complicated and Thailand is the only country that uses this system. During 2019-2024, the senators were also appointed by the King through the approval of the NCPO.
- I may not be fluent in English, I apologize. Preime TH (talk) 01:19, 14 January 2025 (UTC)

File:Australian House of Representatives chart.svg
@GlowstoneUnknown I modified the file because of a request on the French graphic workshop page. According to the request, the numbers of seats per party has recently changed following elections on May 3rd. The new repartition is thus different from the version you reverted it to. There is for instance no seat for Centre Alliance and no National seats. Changes have been made based on that source [] provided in the request. Regarding the colors, they are the former one except for he pink seat: not a usual party color as you noticed but I picked that one for the seat in doubt to distinguish it better. Thanks for reviewing your opinion on reverting to former version. PBrieux (talk) 11:12, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
- Would just like to point out:
There is for instance no seat for Centre Alliance and no National seats.
isn't true. If you visit this page and change from "Summary" to "All parties", it lists 1 CA seat, 1 KAP seat, and 9 Nationals seats. The French workshop request must have either been old, out-of-date, or mistaken. – GlowstoneUnknown (Talk) 11:22, 27 May 2025 (UTC)- @GlowstoneUnknown I stand corrected on that point, indeed. The link provided in the request groups the parties in large coalitions and "others"; the "all parties" tab you indicated shows granular results, which is better. Thanks.
- However I still think one figure of the version you reinstated does not match (i.e. the Independent have 9 seats according to your link but 10 on the WP chart). I also wonder if the grouping of some seats from the Liberal National Party either with the Liberal Party or the Nationals is still up-to-date. I'll re-work the chart according to the seats provided in your link. PBrieux (talk) 13:00, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, the 10 Independents is probably a mistake, I'll just update that now. I was intending to include the 10th Independent seat as Nicolette Boele's in Bradfield (being a seat where she was listed as 40 votes ahead of her opponent at the time I made the diagram), but I'll just update it now and replace that seat with an "in doubt" seat. – GlowstoneUnknown (Talk) 13:37, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

Opinion polling for the 2026 Peruvian general election
Thankyou for using the graphDataImport script and importing Data:Opinion polling for the 2026 Peruvian general election.tab. I moved it and added categories. However, I think that the imported data is wrong because the imported graph data lacked a few empty values (a few commas). There should be 9 values for each candidate, including empty values. Also the numbers are different in the table en:Opinion_polling_for_the_2026_Peruvian_general_election#Voting_preferences. I do not have access to the original source. If the problem was in the script, please tell me.Tomastvivlaren (talk) 10:21, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
- Honestly, being the first chart I've made on Commons, I couldn't really determine if there was an issue with the script, basically I just used the old Graph data and left it as is. It's possible that the graph had some mistakes in it to begin with, I'm not sure. Sorry I can't be of more assistance. – GlowstoneUnknown (Talk) 13:55, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
