Font type in SVG

Hello Miguelferig,

thanks for your upload of the graphics File:Mitochondrion structure gl.svg. There is one thing you could improve. It is always good to select a font that is available on Wikimedia. You might select on out of https://noc.wikimedia.org/conf/fc-list.

File:Hematopoiesis (human) diagram es.svg

Hola!

Para editar la imagen yo utilizo el InkScape (que como sabes te puedes descargar gratuitamente). Utilizando el Firefox, abres File:Hematopoiesis_(human)_diagram_es.svg y sitúa el cursor encima de Ficheiro orixinal. Clica el botón derecho del ratón y selecciona del menú que se despliega "Nome e garda o contido da ligazón..." (supongo que aparece así). Lo guardas en tu ordenador, para poderlo editar como Hematopoiesis_(human)_diagram_gl.svg. El dibujo está diseñado por capas. Tienes que eliminar todo el contenido de la capa "Text to path". Haz que se te muestre el contenido de "Text". Modificas cada uno de los textos. Y ya está.

Para que se muestren mejor las letras del texto, duplicas el contenido de esta capa (el de "Text") y lo mueves a la capa de encima (la "Text to path"). Escondes la capa "Text" y finalmente conviertes el texto en camino (path).

Luego cuelgas el fichero en Commons como ya sabes. Si no sabes hacerlo, envíame la traducción de las etiquetas que sean diferentes de la versión en castellano.

Entiendo y apoyo tus consideraciones respecto al inglés, pero es más fácil para un gallego entender el castellano. Por descontado no pondría una imagen en castellano en la Wikipedia en francés ya que la mayoría de los franceses no lo entienden.

Quizás no lo sepas, pero he realizado dibujos en gallego, por ejemplo: File:Illu conducting passages gl.svg.

Nuevas instrucciones

Hola!

No me has hecho caso!. Ha cogido el svg de la serie que me faltaba (a parte del de Islandia) para corregir. Te hubiera sido más fácil partir del dibujo en español o en portugués, ya que hubieras tenido mucho menos texto que cambiar y el resultado al crear la conversión a camino del texto es mejor. Respecto a esto último, por favor, observa la diferencia en las letras entre File:Hematopoiesis_(human)_diagram_gl.svg y File:Hematopoiesis (human) diagram ca.svg. En tu dibujo (y el realizado en inglés) el espaciado entre letras es irregular y sus bordes no están suavizados, en cambio el realizado en catalán el espaciado es regular y los bordes de las letras son suaves, y se respeta la amplitud (que tu observas en la creación en InkScape) de cada etiqueta de texto.

Te sugiero que pierdas el tiempo en aprender como utilizar las capas, aunque la mayoría de los dibujos no lo utilizan. Entonces puedes aprender a poner el dibujo en una capa, las flechas en otra y finalmente el texto en la superior. Esta última capa se puede, como te he contado, duplicar, esconder la capa de los objetos-texto y en la capa superior convertir el texto en camino (del menú: Camino | Objeto a camino). Seleccionándolos todos, esto ser realiza en un momento.

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2024 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year is the nineteenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2024) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and top 5% of most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on 27 September 2025, 23:59:59 UTC.

Wikimedia Commons is pleased to finally announce the winners of this year's Picture of the Year 2025 contest! We had some truly incredible finalists to choose from, but the community has spoken.

I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.

Thank you to everyone who voted, helped organize, and generally made the contest such a huge success this year!
