Files of other users should not be overwritten by crops, crops from other authors should be uploaded as a new photo, those are the rules.

Anyway: the crop of Vandcykel was not good for my point of view, in the way, that there was much of a white jersey on it, but the head of Hayter on top nearly cut off. --Nicola (talk) 09:54, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

@Nicola: , I've cropped hundreds of images myself, the vast majority of them other people's uploads and overwrites, and never received critisism for it. I think you can disagree on individual changes to images, but not completely forbid other people from doing them.--Hjart (talk) 10:13, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

In addition, I noticed that you've made a malformed deletion request: not including year, month, or day; not creating the subpage; not notifying; and not transcluding. Here, {{Delete}} is not for speedy deletion, please see COM:DP. When you want to delete a page by manually using the {{Delete}} template (rather than the automatic Nominate for deletion or Nominate category for discussion tool in the Tools menu on the sidebar provided by the AjaxQuickDelete gadget per subpolicy procedures COM:DR#Starting requests and COM:CFD#Starting requests), you MUST follow the instructions in the template, including the "Click here to show further instructions" portion (or Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually policy or the "By hand" portion of subpolicy procedure COM:CFD#Starting requests, normally collapsed), otherwise you will create a lot of work for other people. Dear Vandcykel,

you requested renames of files uploaded by user Nicola. I renamed some of these in the past 3 days. I think the rename requests were the best new name, however I do not think it is proper to insult the uploader. Our guidelines indicate to follow the uploaders names unless there is a compelling reason not to. If you wish to rename against the explicit wishes of Nicola I suggest you start a discussion in a broader group and get consensus. For now I will restore the original names as requested by the uploader.
